That's disappointing. Jolt was one of my favorite ROTF molds, and it's a shame the new mold couldn't do any better. I might pick up a redeco of this guy, but this regular release is just ugly. Great review, though.
Jolt (ROTF)was one of those figures, that initially i thought i was going to really dislike. I ended up getting him and fell in love with the figure. I was hoping that would happen again with the DOTM version. Sadly, that didn't happen
Well, since I'm trying to budget things this year, this guy will go on the bottom of the list. I might pick him up if there hasn't been anything new for a while or happily accept him as a gift, but I'm not going to run out to get him.
While I appreciate what it's trying to do, I still vastly prefer the ROTF mould. Like you I did not think it was going to be that good, and I think it's great. I like that this mould tried to be more accurate, but it didn't work out. It's statements like this that leave me scratching my head at this fandom.
vastly prefer this one to the rotf version. I think he looks really cool. Only problems I see are the arms and neck not locking in place and the color scheme.
Well, I usualy disagree with some things you say (like about deluxe Barricade) but I agree this time. Jolt looks terrible. bad paint apps, and his strange arm positions remind me of TFTM Swindle. So what other DoTM figures do you have up your sleeve? Well, if you can reveal anything, that is.
I can wholeheartedly disagree with the reviewer and the general consensus here. I will fully agree the lack of paint is disappointing, but the figure is much more accurate to the CGI model, I like the new transformation better, and the posability is much improved. I have mine in hand and I really like him better than some of the other DOTM figs I have currently. I would encourage you folks to give him a shot, at least at a discounted/sale price. I find him to be very satisfying in every way. I don't see the QC issues such as the head falling of on mine, I TF his head/neck section at a different stage as he has shown and have never had the clearance problem. Also his front wheels can pivot to give more stability and give a different look to the feet.
How do you figure that mate? Aren't I allowed to have an opinion? I genuinely think this figure is heavily flawed and that the torso looks like it has an evil face on it. If you disagree, fine, but don't patronise me by acting all bewildered in response to my dislike of a figure. If you like it, fine, but you won't see me coming out with such condescending comments next time you post your opinions on it.
