Hi everyone, looking to see what you guys think.
At the moment im building my collection around the KBB MP10V, so im looking for the best (in your opinions) versions of Jazz and Prowl taking into consideration the closest they can get to their G1 look. The Two that im leaning more towards right now are Classics Prowl and RTS Jazz

After applying reprolabels to each i think they will fit the bill. Thoughts?
Edit: BTW if anyone is thinking of selling one and or both hit me up

I don't think they have made the definitive Jazz or Prowl, yet. I'm happy with my PW3 versions of them though.

Universe Prowl and RTS Jazz are the best, as you suggested.

Personally I wasn't really a fan of the Universe Prowl mold (I had Silverstreak and was disappointed). Prowl also has some severe paint issues -- he's all sticky or something, so be mindful of that.

Having said that, he's way more fitting than flat chested CW Prowl.

I donno, that Generations/RTS Jazz is pretty definitive imo, at least at deluxe scale.

when are we going to stop forcing our sick bodily standards on transformers? all prowls are beautiful regardless of how flat their chests are

Even though he has that flat fake chest, the CW Prowl is fantastic. The classics one is good, but hard to pose, and the paint on the top of the car is terrible. For Jazz, the PoTP mold is passable, but the RTS one is the far better option if you can get him at a reasonable price.

If there was a "Generation 1 Studio Series", it would probably be something very much like RTS Jazz and Universe 2.0 Prowl. Those are the two you want. They'll be very hard to replace.

I never opened my rts Jazz not really sure why because I don't usually leave stuff mosc and just ended up displaying the potp Jazz. My Prowl doesn't have paint issues or anything but I'm partial to the cw Prowl.

United Jazz is 100% better than RTS.

That is true, he does have the better paint apps, but he's also priced 4x-5x that of the RTS version. In the end i plan on repainting/customizing both so the lack of paint detail (or paint issues in the case of Prowl) dont bother me.

RTS/United Jazz by a mile. Prowl... Classics, I guess? If it weren't for that sticky paint, he'd be alright. But as is...

What I'd give for a Deluxe undersize of MP Prowl reshelled with the Classics Datsun alt-mode...

But then you don't get the nice, crisp white plastic of the United Jazz! ...unless you have an equally nice white paint, that is.

...Do you? One that's not a total bitch to work with...?

United Jazz and Henkei Prowl, the Japanese versions of Universe and RtS.

Better colours for both -- especially Jazz stands out -- and no sticky paint for Prowl.

CW Prowl is an okay figure, but the only real Prowl thing about him is his head. Actually, I think the head might be better than the Henkei/Universe Prowl. Everything else about CW Prowl is wrong for the character.

And PotP Jazz...yeah, United is superior in every way, no question.

One more vote for RTS Jazz, he’s still one of my favorite Transformers toys.

I’m another one who isn’t crazy about the Unuverse Prowl mode. It was cool for its time, but once Masterpiece Prowl hit the scene the Universe version looked extremely awkward.

Classics Prowl looks doofy, like some weird bootleg toy.

Universe Prowl is the better Prowl, but CW Prowl is the better toy. If you need him to look like his old G1 self, go Universe. If you don’t mind change, go CW.

RTS Jazz is the best Deluxe-sized Jazz IMHO, hands down.

PotP Jazz is okay, and FoC Jazz wasn't that great. That's why I sold him.

As for Prowl, I had Universe Prowl and it looked okay, but couldn't stand up and the doors came off when I converted it. I sold off Universe Prowl, and kept CW Prowl as a leg on Ultra Prime.

I agree, and would love to get MP Prowl but for the collection im going for at the moment, with my MP10V being Voyager sized the MP Prowl would be about as tall and would throw off the scaling.
My modest collection consists of the KBB MP10V, PotP Grimlock, RID Sideburn and my just arrived RTS Hot Rodimus

I dont know you that well to know if you're being sarcastic lol.
But to answer your question, im planning on using Dupli-Color spray paint. I have a couple extra cans of the bright white, if it's too bright ill probably use some other color.

In my experience, painting a whole figure white is always a pain in the tailpipe, but then again, I'm not exactly the best customizer, so maybe you have better luck. :lol  Good luck man! :thumb
