Again, I won't be surprised if they make him not able to talk for the entire series, let alone next episode.

 

I think Bumbles is plenty characterful without a voice, what with his extremely expressive eyes and door wings. If he never spoke I wouldn't even be mad.

 

I think I can agree. As of this episode, I actually don't mind his beeping that much.

 

Agreed. Giving Bumblebee his voice back would destroy the character for me. I don't want to see Disney-like "all ends well" plotlines in Prime. Bee's handicapped and he has to live with it like IRL.

(also Bumblebee's muteness redeems this character for me after the atrocity that was TFA Bee)

 

I don't mind him so much, except that his sounds make my speakers vibrate a lot, lol. He sounds like old Atari samples.

 

I agree with this. Even though I don't like the bumblebee beeping gimmick, it would hurt the character to give him a voice at this point.

 

I liked it well enough in the Bay movies, though I think he should have gotten his voice back in the end.

The beeps aren't as good as the radio voice at getting the character across, and get repetitious and annoying. In the long run, I think the show should give him his voice back. I know I would enjoy this Bumblebee a hell of a lot more if they did.

That said, I did gain a little more appreciation for Bee with this episode.

 

I kinda want more episodes like Speed Metal where the plot isn't based around new characters or object, but by already existing characters interacting.

Cliffjumper was the biggest cockblock in the history of animation. The Rock voicing a BAMF muscle car? THEN HE GETS MURDERED IN THE FIRST STORY!?! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU HASBRO!?!?

Agreed. At least for Bayformers/TFP Bumblebee. I'd rather not every. single. future. incarnation of the character be a mute. But for these two versions of the character, I love it.

 

IRRC, the Dreadwing clip was included in the 'this season on TFP' so he will be there, but it doesn't mean in the next ep or two.

I've enjoyed almost all of them but agree, having Marty Isenberg write for TFP is a wonderful move, hope they have plans for more eps written by him.

In looking at the ep again, it did seem to be the light coming thru his rear window that made the colors come to life...just wondered what this 'relic' will be and what it will do??

The windows are blackened in his ambulance, but still, it would have been nice to see 'his' hologram. His 'Doctorgram' could be interesting.

Maybe, I'm getting tired of the beeps and boops, but I could live with the 'radio' clips as his voice for a bit until Ratchet could finally repair him. Poor Bee needs to finally have a voice, even if it goes in and out sometimes..maybe by the end of S2, have a scene every now and then where Ratchet is still trying to locate a voice box repair part or replacement. Or just wait for Megatron to rip out another con's voice box and use that one.  

 

Uh, maybe I'm just old and grouchy but I don't see how describing something in that way belongs on a board about a kids show. So much F*** word being spouted. /hides

OT: I felt so bad for Bumblebee. He really has been through a lot. Even though he can't talk I had no problems knowing how he was feeling. I love how he is brave, stubborn and determined.

I felt for Ratchet also. The guilt he feels over not being able to repair Bumblebee's voice box. Even though he practically brought Bumblebee back from the dead he's still beating himself up over that. They have been showing a little bit more emotion with him lately other than grumpiness and I'm enjoying seeing it.

 

He can't "replace" the voice box I think which is explained in the episode with it being a bio tech organ thing
