Unfortunately DR. Wu hasn't been focusing on 3P scale accessories like they used to.

I do know that he is working on a sword (based on the G1 toy) for MP Megs.

I'm really mad at myself for selling Dr Wu's Partner set- they posted a message on FB saying the set has been discontinued due to the overwhelming amount of error in assembly at the factory. Stupid thing to do :thumbdown

Hmm. Really? Which Spike & Sparkplug partner is set is this.....with helmets or without helmets? I remember picking up the helmeted version (which was the first version) back when it first came out and Sparkplug's leg snapped off on mine. I ended up buying another set and more recently I picked up newer non-helmet version.

I think without, but I cannot find either set anywhere for sale.

    This is what he said:

Big, chunky, poseable, and cheap as chips. I love him.

Absolutely - he will also do fine until TT pull their finger out and make official versions.

The face isn't that bad in person. I know you hear that a lot on these boards but it's pretty true. The worst part is his eyes are sunk back so far it looks like he's wearing a mask over his real face but people have posted multiple ways to fix that.

I agree. After reading reviews I was expecting it to be the only real letdown once I got him in hand - but it's really not, and providing you're not staring at him up close, its a pretty good Springer likeness.
It's certainly not enough to deter me, and sufficient enough that I don't need to spend 3 figures on any of the other 3P Springers.

Love the figure but the face has no likeness to anything, it's devoid of any personality

I've been waiting (for what seems like forever) for the FansToys version of Springer. Picked up Big Spring as a total impulse buy at TFCon - got it relatively cheap, so I couldn't pass up finally having a Springer in the colection. However, one of his arms refuses to stay out to the side at all - just falls right back to the body (I'll have to see if I can tighten a screw somewhere). The face is not exactly great, but not as horrible as I'd been led to believe by all the reviews. It's just pretty plain. The alt modes are OK - again, not great, but not horrible.

Overall, the whole thing does feel a little like a "kids" version of Springer more so than any of the other versions I've seen online. I hate to sound like a fanboy, but I'm still holding out hope for Apache to be the best of the Springers out there. Still have my pre-order open and will be looking forward to getting him.

This is a great figure, way more impressed in hand. 60 bucks.... Comeon no problem.

If you do a slight mod to the face you'll be happier with it

I can't get enough of this guy. And for £40.... best value 3P purchase by a mile. Potentially best value TF purchase.
