On my home PC, I have noticed at random times, that the forums open on a second tab leading to a completely different thread than the one I was on. Yet, I didn't open that thread to a new tab, it just randomly appeared.

For instance, I was viewing the forums last night, and it added a Comics thread to a new tab, which I didn't open, or view. The only link to the situation was that I was viewing another comic thread, and the creator of that persons comic, had made a post and has a link to his comic in his Sig.

Another issue I was noticing, only on my home PC, was it logs of the forums on occasion after only a minute or 2 of inactivity. I don't have this issue on any other site/forums, and was wondering if this is an occuring problem with certain operating systems like Vista?

Is your browser set to open new links in a new tab?

What browser and version are you using?

In the Internet options in Tabs, under: "Open Links from other programs" is set to open in new tab. However, when I normally open links, they pop up in new window. The main thing that is strange about it, is I do not open these links. They just open up threads that I haven't even went to. Again, only happens on TFW boards, which is why it is strange.

My Internet Explorer version is 7.0.6002.18005 if I read it right.

Also, you aren't holding down the shift key or anything?
I know in Firefox this opens links in a new window. Cntl opens in a new tab.

As for why random tabs open, it sounds more like a problem on your end.

I think it could be a good possiblity that I may be hitting the shift key or something. I randomly hit keys and it very well could be happening while I click...

The CTRL key and left mouse click will always open a new tab on a link. Just an FYI.

It does pose as a possibility, just have to find out why it is opening stuff that I don't believe I clicked on.
