Second figure from Open and Play.

I have been fortunate enough to secure some of these for TFCon in limited numbers and without a box. Of course no instructions either.......

Two things
1. This looks like something Hasbro would release
2. They need to fire the guy who is designing these faces, or least whoever is approving them

With Sovereign and Tyrant out I don't think this has much chance of penetrating the Galvatron market, especially since those two are so good.

I would definitely consider getting this for my son though as it looks like something you can really play with.

 

No thanks, already have Sovereign, and had Tyrant prior to that. It's a decent looking Galvatron but it doesn't look MP at all to me.

 

He'd make a great Generations Galvatron.

 

Depends on alt mode. Any robot Galvatron can look good, but few have good looking cannons.

 

Gah, Open Play has definitely hired FT's old face designer.

Have to see alt mode and price but I don't think it's unseating my Sovereign for MP Galvatron.

 

I mean, he looks ok, if you just want a big, cheap Galvatron, although I'm really not a fan of the cannon on the bicep. And maybe he's more fun to transform than the other options. I don't see myself replacing Tyrant with him, though. And I think a lot of people here are willing to spend more to have something that looks better. Open and Play need to understand that what made Big Spring relatively popular wasn't his price tag, it's that (face aside) he looks on par with or better than the competition. This Galvatron doesn't.

 

I like it. If price was same as Springer I do interest.

It look like generation titan return is a plus from me cause that thing design was good but products was so poor.

 

I agree it may not do amazingly on the market, but i personally think their faces are awesome. They look accurate and these figures still resemble being toys.

3MP Galv has been done sufficiently. By the time this comes out, Takara will likely have announced theirs.

Move on Open Play.

 

I love my Sovereign but his alt mode leaves a lot to be desired. I would get this if cannon mode looks good.

This looks like an updcaled TR Gavlatron without the headmaster gimmick, just with a bad face sculpt.

I keep seeing an upscaled DX9 legends Galvatron !!! Literally, everything looks like that figure from the chunky legs to the awkward chest...

I think bigspring was good, but this dude just looks awkward in too many ways...

 

That's definitely their positive. You can actually play with it unlike many 3P toys, if that's your thing.

Just noticed that the calves are probably open from the back some. That's not nice.

 

I’ll wait on TT. I know their bot mode will be just as amazing as the alt mode, which all 3P versions have failed miserably at nailing. Specially FT.
