My G1 Starscream. Soundwave was a close 2nd - I'd have liked him more if he came with Laserbeak.

I remember as a kid we were really poor. I wanted a devastator as a gift one birthday worse then anything. So my poor mom and dad went out and bought me the KO Devastator.

I was a little brat and threw the worse tantrum because it was fake and I was so tired of us being poor. My dad got pissed and took it away from me. I remember the next day begging for it back. He taught me a lesson that day by not giving it back. I would play with my friends and always be sad that I didn't at least take the fake one.

When we finally started getting some money, I remember owning a Grimlock and a Wreck Gar. I loved both those guys, but Wreck Gar a little more because Grimlock was hard for me to Transform and I was always afraid I was going to break him.

Fast forward 20 years into the future. I see a MP Grimlock and have no idea what it is. I see it is $75 and argue why I should not buy it. I cannot pass it up and my collection started from there. My second figure, an original Devastator brought from a member here at TFW. Never really wanted the wreck gar again, but whenever I see some people post G1 pics of him, it always brings back memories. Those were the only 3 I ever had as a kid. Here I am as a grown ass man with 150+ and growing.

    Oh, the toy forum.

Of all the TFs I had as a kid...well, more like of the FEW TFs I had as a kid...I think Countdown's rocket base saw the most play.

The fact that both the large manned turret and the blue control thingy broke their pegs might actually be the reason I sold it.

All I remember is wanting a Transformer that actually f***ing showed up in the comics!

Classics Jetfire (I'm only 17, and I got into TFs in late summer '06). I still think he's a really great figure. He looks excellent in both modes, whether armored or unarmored, and is proof that a figure can have great playability without having some kind of toyline-wide gimmick.
