For my newest custom I was looking at the relatively unpainted Dark of the Moon Voyager Megatron figure and while most people were turning him into a Nemesis Prime or Motormaster I thought he could make for a good Onslaught.

I used Testors Model Master Acryls and did a base coat of gun metal and dried brush steel, olive drab, and blue angle blue over that.

The sonic rifle was actually a last minute addition made from a KO Victory Leo gun and Front Mission gashapon gun.

The rifle also stores on the tanker in vehicle mode. It will also fit in the top peg.

I also had to get one last shot with my custom Swindle along with the normal retail Brawl and Vortex. Makes me really want to make a Blast Off but I don't have good inspiration for that one at this time.

Onslaught looks good! Glad to see someone who has the talent to follow through on the custom also had this idea.

As for Blast Off, have you considered Mindwipe? I've always thought he would work well.

I think Mindwipe would be too big. Would be better off using a deluxe to stay in scale with the others.

I'd suggest using Movie Deluxe Starscream or Dirge. Dirge would probably work better though.

Very nice. It might be a stretch but how about using the deluxe Starscream as Blast Off?

I'm surprised at how well this mold fits. Good eye!

What about Terradive for Blast Off? Or maybe the Preview Soundwave since it's technically a space vehicle?

Anyway, love the repaint. And the group shot. Basically everything!

Check Marshalls/TJ Maxx/Ross stores now. Starting to see a good supply of DOTM stuff, including Voyagers.

Back to topic... I'm acqually quite surprised no one has done it yet. Nicely done. Just need a decent mold for Blast-off and you're got the whole team!

That's really nice. my only suggestion would be to go ahead and take off the bull-bars on the front to make him more distinctive from DOTM Megs.

I have a similar project lingering on my shelf (I used the Movie Stockade Head for Onslaught, but this one looks great!). I think this mold is a fantastic "movie Onslaught" and fits well with the Brawl and Vortex figures.

In terms of suggestions, I think I'd like to see proper rocket launchers on the truck, rather than that weird tanker cannon thing from Megatron. Also, the double gun turret from Cybertron Scout Scattershot fits perfectly in the Mechtech port on top of the truck's cab, and so it sits very nicely behind the head to echo G1 Onslaught's back guns. Might be worth a try. :)

As for Blastoff... I suggest Prime Soundwave. He's the right size to fit in with this crew. He's got enough surface detail and styling to match rather nicely with the Movie bots. His head doesn't feel far off from G1 Blastoff though you might want to trim his fins a little, maybe add a mouthplate. The drone mode isn't exactly a space shuttle, but it has the right look overall.

Also, you can actually give him more "normal" arms by folding up his wing-arms and putting a fist at the mid-joint.

Nice work! Can't wait to see where else you go with these guys! :)

Damn this looks great. Did you get the idea after seeing the long nature of the alt mode & how the trailer turns? I know this seems like a silly question, but that'd have probably done it for me hah.
