I'm running my first race tomorrow. It's in Hamilton Ontario and it's called Around The Bay. It's a 30 km run. I'm hoping to complete it in under 3 hours, if all goes well.

I'm a little nervous because it is my first race event and I'm not really sure what to expect.

As a marathoner myself, it's a very rewarding experience to finish a race. 30km isn't too bad as long as you've been jogging/running for a few months already. Make sure you have some steaks in the fridge for afterwards; you're going to have a big meat craving.

I've done a few 5K, but that's about all I can handle. My body isn't really built for running and I hate it.

The day of my first marathon, I woke up at 8h05 and the start was at 8h30. I ate a few spoons of apple sauce and rushed to the site. I drank half a waterbottle during the whole race and finished in 2h52 with no real specific training except that I had been running between 1-2h everyday for 2 months and half 5-6 times a week before the event.

I did my first race last summer. Did the Philly 10 mile Broad Street run. I semi-trained for it. I ended up finishing in an hour and 21 minutes. But after that, every ligament and muscle my legs were on fire. But it was well worth the experience. Would like to do the NYC marathon since I'm from NYC. But I'm not up to the level yet.

    Hey, I'll be there, too!

There's a bar on Barton street. I'll be at the window with a pitcher of Strongbow.

I think if you start weeping blood from the nipples it means you are pregnant with a vampire baby.
