so just recently i have been playing some of my not so new PS2 games over again online, and have noticed somthing odd. i played killzone and admit im not the best but by all means not the worst and am usually in the top 5 or 3 out of a full game, ok no complaints there, switch over to battlefield 2 and i am still learning all the controls again and the diff vehicles and such, and wtf, i keep getting kicked, now im not killing my own teammates, but im not getting alot of kills, so why kick me though? is just like some kind of ooooohhh youre a newb kick, me good you bad type of online lame douchebaggery? or am i doing somthing wrong? cus its getting REALLY annoying, ill just start out a game and maybe die once, then head for a vehicle on respawn and be kicked already???

Are you playing ranked, or unranked games? If BF even has ranked.

Most online gamers are complete douchebags.

    -Spawnkilling
    -rude/insulting
    -boot you for no reason
-no respect for noobs trying to learn the game

Assholes in general. They really ruin the whole experience.

It's the reason why I don't play online anymore, only LAN games if I can scrounge up enough people. Tried playing Halo online and the people are just assholes.

Although I did like the Warcraft 3 way of putting matches together based on the level of the player. It helped weed out some of the assholes.

I love idiots online, but that's because I tend to play for the purposes of making them do funny things over actually playing the game.

I will always cite my Halo 2 act where I put on my Russian accent. The following exchange seriously happened once:

Me: "Comrades, we are for to make capture of flag."

Some XBL Guy: "LEARN ENGLISH OR GET OFF OUR INTERNET YOU RUSSIAN FAGGOT"

I spent the rest of the round doubled over choking with laughter. :lol

yeah i figured it was just them mostly, theres no need to reserve spots for a game w/ up to 16 players and only like 5 ppl playing. also i noticed theres no effin teamwork unless you do have friends, everytime i get in a vehicle w/ someone they leave or get pissed because im in there

    That is freaking awesome.

I just got hooked on video games w/ the purchase of a Wii and PS3 and I am thinking of playing online even though I never had tried it before. Great topic for noobs like me. How easy is it to play Warhawk and Resistence of Man online. Everyone get pissed if you are new and don't really know how to play?

If it's BF2, you'll get a message saying you've been kicked to make room for reserved players. Really, if the host has a 16 player map and 10 slots reserved, it's all within the server host right to do so.

If it's BF2, try to at least squad up with some players and use that voice communication if you got one. Usually most squads are quiet until someone starts communicating. If you happen to be a squad leader, try talking to the squad commander as well.

Usually when I'm squad leader I'll ask the commander what he wants us to do, and we'll do it. Then I'll also ask if he sees anyone around the locations we need to capture (he can see all).
