I was thinking SD will eventually make their own but since its all non-brand colored...maybe a Women's TV show. Taped after SD since 205 Live is taped after RAW

Soooooo I’m just gonna put this out there but , I actually watched SD last night. Did anyone else get the feeling that Mizs BD celebration for Shane might have gone the way of the Festival of Friendship? For a brief moment I thought it would have.

Yeah ACA isn't such a bad name vs now just Andrade. Its crap. I thought he was in for a push and so far it's been nothing.

I don't see it sticking. Name shortenings like Elias Samson to Elias and Antonio Cesaro to Cesaro worked because people would occasionally refer to them that way anyway. I've never heard anyone organically refer to Andrade Cien Almas as Andrade.

I just read that WWE officials are “fearful” that the Revival will be leaving when their contract is up and they will jump to AEW.
Seems a funny way of putting it; the way they’ve been booked since their first day on the main roster, why would WWE officials be surprised?

Another rumor is that Mike and Maria Kanellis have requested their release. Not surprising since they’ve been cleared for a while and have only been on 205 Live. I’ve already read people accusing them of signing with WWE just so they would pay for Mike’s rehab, and then jumping ship at the first opportunity.

    Watching some old wrestling vids.
Then I stumbled upon VAL VENIS.
I remember laughing hard and really entertained by his gimmick.

Especially his first Titan Tron Entrance Video was epic.
    - Hellooooo Ladiessss!
    - Porn Star Smirk
    - Guy with sexy chics
    - Aroused in a bath tub w/a bow tie
    - Hotdogs
    - Growing flower
    - Erupting Volcano / Geyser?
    - Him coming out in the leaves wearing a helmet
    - The towel

    He's now a cannabis advocate.
I wonder if the "Big Valbowski" Adult Film Star gimmick will work today.
I was surprised to know that Val and Edge was almost be given a character to play as the "Midnight Express" tag team as "Sensual Sean (Val)" and "Adorable Adam (Edge)". Those ideas? Vince Russo's. :lol

    Another guy was Gangrel.
I love his entrance theme and gimmick.

Attitude Era.... Where everything was possible then..

So tonight is the "go home" episode before RR. And is Big Show show in this years Rumble? I'm sure he'll be the typical "odds on favorite" to win like he is anytime he's in it.

By the rules and standards set by last years Mixed Match Challenge in relation to Asuka's undefeated streak, yup. Not that they'll ever mention it

I know this is basically the WWE thread, but I'm curious if anyone caught the Women Of Wrestling show that played on AXS on Friday. It had the cheesy names of the old GLOW days, but the wrestling was actually very entertaining and reminded me a bit of some of the stuff that I watched in the 90's. It was clear who was the heel and babyface in each match. There were high spots, but the matches weren't all high spots. The rivalries were built well. Just an all-around enjoyable hour of wrestling and I didn't feel the need to fast-forward through any of it. Very pleasantly surprised so far.

Gangrel had one of the best entrances + themes in wrestling history. Period.

So it's hard to use that as an argument for how great the AE was...because it was an anomaly better than anything before, during, or after.

The most amazing part is Nikki's tweet, showing Killian Dain a hundred pounds lighter with a hell of a lot less hair. To stay together through that transformation shows Nikki is a keeper (not shallow).

Damn right. Jim Johnston did such an amazing job with Gangrel’s theme “Blood”; a perfect theme for a vampire character. I still remember seeing a group of fans bouncing along to its beat in the front row of one of the Royal Rumbles.

I think the only thing that held Gangrel back was his lack of mic skills. He was passable in the ring and had a great look, but the instant they gave him a microphone he sounded like a dork, definitely not how you’d expect a vampire to sound.

I got into the WWF around late 1998/early 1999 as a teen. Gangrel and Y2J were my favorites. Both had great entrances and unique looks - nevermind solid wrestling.
