Nice. Acid Storm, Sunstorm, Needlenose, Pounce, and Dreadwind. Wasn't expecting to see them turn up anytime soon.

Loving that more non-84-85 characters are getting some facetime.

Agreed 100%. I'm extremely happy to see Needlenose in there, he was one I had back as a kid, and I always love seeing those great later G1 characters get some recognition. Even if it is just to get blown away a couple of pages later.

Faces! They have FACES!!! :lol  j/k

I feel I would like the series more without the hybrid movie style! This almost looks like E.J. Su's work.

I love seeing Sunstorm and Acid Storm get some face time, and of course Dreadwind too, but... the whole "brother" thing...

...well, I enjoyed my Limelight: Dreadwind being able to fit neatly within IDW continuity while it lasted.

AHHHHH!!! What the hell? Where did Don go? That is some of the worst artwork in a Transformers book ever. I look forward to Guido's art, but this is just garbage.

I'm pretty sure Guido is doing this issue instead of Don, which is why the hybrid-movie thing's not there

Who's doing the art on this issue? Acid Storm & Sunstorm are quite the surprise, even if it's only a cameo.

Seems weird that the Decepticons are so destitute. Did they dismantle their entire infrastructure leading up to AHM? Did Megatron contact all of his sub-commanders and be like, "Yo, dudes! I know this is sudden, but right... there's this planet Earth? We're moving in here. So grab everybody and pack it all in."

I'm liking the change in art direction. Okay, it's not as polished as Don's, but it has more emotional resonance in those few pages than the first 6 issues of Ongoing for my money.

Simply don't understand the hate for the art...IMHO, it's absolutely spot-on. Reminds me of Senior's best back in the day, not to mention how great it is to see characters like Needlenose et al making an appearance.

In fact, based on that preview alone, colour me sold. :thumb

Love the non-movie art. I may come back if the art stays like this.

I'd say it still fits, just that limelight takes place back during the time frame of Escalation.

Loving the art, it's nice to finally be able to read a character's thoughts and feelings through facial expression again.

If this is the same story as the panel-ly line art from donfig, then i really do not understand. Did don fig go into a coma? The design switch would be too much for me to care. There's so much art like this, it just doesn't catch my interest.

Thank god that movie-esque crappy art has gone. Long may the art continue in this vein. Or anything other than the movie artwork.

Can you tell I hated the movie artwork?

    No?

    Well, I did.

    So nur.

    Rant over.

Did I mention this artwork is sooooo much better?!?!?!

Is Don gone from ongoing? If so I have to cancel my subscription at the comic shop.
