    Well, from the released CGI it's clear that Devastator is made of seven constructicons but from what Hasbro said in their information it would seem that the toy only features Six constructicons, I can't come up with any explanations apart from a) the CGI was fake or b) Hasbro's wrong about their own product. Anyway, I know you guys are a lot more intelligent than me and I'm probably missing something but I'd be interested to hear any ideas you guys have.

    Wasn't it said somewhere that the 7th constructicon would form a weapon?

    you sure man? cause the only time i heard anything for a long time was 7. then 6 was brought up, then 5, then 6 again, and the picture seems to confirm 7

    in the original reveal of the alt modes, only 6 pictures were shown, as i believe there are 2 different types of Dump Trucks

    EDIT::

    im pretty sure thats speculation, cause the crane was said to have no bot mode cause it woulda been too flimsy or sumthin

    I think it's simpler than that, like it's one guy for the waist, and one for the torso. I think the Hasbro rep probably just goofed.

    Here we go, as far as I can tell; the seven make up the body and not six included the body and one becomes a weapon

    Looked at the picture again. The break down lists a guy as 'Back'. So it looks like 3 guys make the torso, back and head.

    I remember something like that too. But according to the page on Wikipedia they reckon it forms the back.

    I am guessing that both are correct, and that Devastator is made up from 7 vehicles, and 6 constructicons.

    My guess is that to be classed as a constructicon it would have to have a robot mode, and one of the vehicles transforms solely into a part of devastator and not its own robot.

    From what we've seen, I think that the most likely candidate for this is that the cement mixer turns into a head and nothing else.

    No worries, it doesn't matter if I agreed with your ideas or not I'm just getting fed up of all the condescending posts from all the "old school" forum monkeys :p

    The Constructicon that's in the trailers is the red Excavator. His threads transform to become two wheels, and he can race around like a motorcycle, or flip his body upwards to drive around on one wheel. :)

    The tracks become rigid wheels somehow, some guy transformed the toy, posted it and showed how it was done...atleast how it's done with the toy anyways :D

    I personally think the design has been revised, which would explain why Hasbro says 6 instead of 7 Constructicons, and more importantly, why the image we're looking at wasn't immediately pulled down the same way others were. It'll probably be similar to what we're seeing, but I have no doubts at all that Bay & co. want us to think this is what we're getting since the final version will ultimately be different. Hard to say.

    Look again, it's just the beginning of "BACK HOE".

    The body parts are either on the left or top in that diagram, with vehicle names on the right or bottom.

    From what I understand, 2 vehicles for each arm, 1 for each leg, and 1 for the torso and head.
