This may quite possibly be one of the funniest music videos I've seen in a long while. Even if you're not into rap/hip hop the video is still pretty funny IMO. Personally, I like Ludacris' humor in his music. Besides, I can somewhat identify with this song, lol. YouTube - Ludacris - One More Drink: co-starring T-Pain
Ludacris is one of my all-time favorite rappers. And I'm sorry Molini, every time I see your Avatar I think: "Be gentle Soundwave, it's my first time!"
Luda is a great rapper. He is an even better actor. And yeah, I love that video and song. Catchy beat and the lyrics are funny.
Definitely one of his best singles, period. The music they sampled for the track works well with the beats they created. The sample in it's original form, however, not that great. (Michael Jackson's Someone Put Your Hand Out. Not a bad song, just works better in Luda's.) I normally don't listen to a lot of Hip-Hop, but lately it's been on my MP3 and WM players almost non-stop.
Ah, beat me to it! I wish we could see him show off those ninja skills he went to Japan to learn back in like '98. But yeah, I'm not a big rap fan, but Ludacris is consistently pretty enjoyable to me.
I actually only own one of Ludacris' albums, Chicken and Beer. That album was amazing IMO! I think it won a grammy, I don't remember, but I know it won something. I have always loved Luda's flow and word play but one thing that has prevented me from buying any of his other albums (as well as most rap albums nowadays) are the god awful beats and guest appearances by really really bad rappers who can't match or even come near his talent (most of them are not marquee names). And is it just me, or does rap as a whole pretty much suck worse than it ever has these days? I know there are people who probably never liked it, but even they can admit it had it's peak point. I listen to rap less and less these days, as far as new material goes. If someone wouldn't have sent me this video in an email, I might have never known since I haven't been in the clubs for a while. It's his sense of humor that gets me though, I imagine he was like this on his radio show back when he was DJing still, being in Cali all my life...wouldn't know.
Agreed, Fake rappers like Lil Wayne and Soulja boy are killing the rap game, even worse: people actually like them and BOOST their false ego.
I know him as Christopher Bridges. Funny video, but I swear if I hear that vocoder effect on another song I'm going to vomit. Oh, wait... too late...
Rap - Usually a way for ugly dudes to get some ass, it's their only way. Uglier they are, the dirtier ( and more desperate) the lyrics. The gold teeth does'nt help much, what's up with that shit? Dude you got food stuck in your bling *To be fair* Rock- An excuse to get free beer and weed. Robert Plant's been dazed and confused for so long it's not true
^^^THIS! Kanye made me officially hate it. Does any one remember Zapp N Roger? I remember that music being sooooo good. Now it's just the worst gimmick ever in music. Can't sing? No worries, just use this...
Zapp/Roger Troutman was freaking awesome. I still have a couple of their albums on cassette. But Rog "played the talk box" (a line from one of their songs) which is actually different from a vocoder. QFT. Ever since Cher revived it with "Believe", it's become the vocal crutch (i.e. ) of the music industry.
