Here's my version of Prowl. He's based on an Ford Mustang Giugiaro. Yes I know, "an autobot with an ford alt mode?!?!?" but I said what the hell. I wanted Prowl to have a hard-ass kinda look but a really sophisticated slightly clean robot mode.

The tiger looking face is on purpose btw. Seeing how many of the Transformers faces from the film are inspired by animals, I decided to play on that. I think the tiger has a very noble look to it.

I still have yet to design his weapon mode.

Anyways I had lots of fun working on this one. I'll be uploading soon. Hope
    you guys dig.

Very fun design, I can see that as a movie Prowl.

I really like the big chunky legs and feet and his overall shape, although I figure he could do with some more clear vehicle sections on him (like movie Sideswipe).

Great. Love it. IMO, the more colour they introduce into the live action films, the better, helps immensley in identifying the bots.
Thats a good head design too. Shoulder blasters are missing, though.

Mmm... Aside from the feet, he's okay. :)  Maybe if you had given him some extra weapons, the design would look much better ;)

Thanks for all the feedback guys! Really appreciate it.

The weapons are coming. Just trying to maybe work out a unique way to put them in. Still considering the shoulder cannons.

I also might rework some design aspects like the feet.

I can really see the tiger like look, and I LOVE it.

Prowl always seemed if he was an animal, he'd be a lion. Really love this design, especially since its a Mustang. One thing though, the orange Mustang you have in the picture isn't the 2010 Mustang, its the Mustang Giugiaro. It was a stang designed by an Italian car designer as a concept car.

The weapons are great, the shoulder cannons are a very great touch, especially the the night stick. Very great design, would love to see this as an actual character.

UPDATED first post with a very loose Battle Image

Thanks a lot man! Very glad you like it. Big whoops on my part on the mustang thing. One time I googled 2010 Mustang and the Mustang Giugiaro came up. Thanks for the clear up!

I have a question. When you designed Prowl, did you have any idea what the engine and interior was like, and if so, did you incorporate that into his anatomy? I only ask because I want to know just how complex people usually make their designs so I know next time I go to design a Moviebot how much reference material I need to look for.

Just, how much are internal parts and how much are inherently part of the robot mode, but hidden in car mode? I don't know vehicles well.

This is a gorgeous design. I really want something like this to show up for round 3.

For this design in particular I didn't have that much spare time to look at as many engine or car reference as I wanted to but I tried to incorporate the ones in my head and some i looked at previous movie designs for suggestions.
If I had more time I would've definitely incorporated a lot more inner car parts.

For car parts inherently in robot mode I believe i tried to make a balance between alien and car parts. In my head I see a robot skeleton beneath most of the car parts. I really doubt they're 100% car parts in robot mode, but I do believe many of the car parts give it a lot credibility into what the robot actually turns to. Try to put as many recognizable car parts to where you think it's best. It helps to do a search for car parts. When designing a movie bot I guess car parts are very predominant.

Thank you so much for the kind words.

    Thanks!!!

Thanks a lot!! Well my dad mentioned he had seen the new mustang in the paper and then I googled it and voila haha. Thankfully Boose cleared up what the real name of the car was.

You could totally "repaint" this design and call it Tigatron (with a vehicle mode).

    Thanks!

You could say there's a little Tigatron. I always thought Tigatron had a little Prowl in him.
