do you have other internet applications running at the same time you are trying to download. I haven't noticed any real slowdowns unless I have something like bittorrent running at the same time.

Sounds like you have a shitty router or a shitty internet connection.

try changing the wireless signal frequency your Wii and router work on. I think most are set to 6, try switching it to 1 or 11. that should really fix things as I had the EXACT problem you did when I first got my wii

Aren't most router settings accessed through a web interface. Look at the bottom of your router. There should be a web address there. Go to it and fiddle.

I have the same problem as well. Same thing with the PS3. It just takes forever. Xbox 360 is like 10 seconds and it's done. Takes forever for the PS3 to install updates as well after it's done downloading.

I just downloaded Mario Kart 64 in about 30 seconds.

Wii updates are pretty quick too.

you'd have to set that up through your router. normally it would be 192.168.1.1 in your internet browser. Then, if you don't know the password and user name, it's either going to be username: admin and password: password or leave the user name blank and the password admin.

No problem here. I run my PC, Mac Powerbook, 360, PS3, and Wii on the same router and they're all fast though PS3 is probably the slowest.

    And Mac>PC, booyah!

I may have to look into it also. The updates for my Wii take a long time. I will try it Wednesday on my brother's PC, it is the only one hooked directly to the wireless router while mine is running through a wired router running to the wireless router which was a pain in the ass to get both my PC and X-Box 360 working on it at the same time (either one would work or the other).
