Don't know about the Wal-mart thing, but fear not about Animated's future. The line is doing great, retailer reorders continue to come in at a regular pace, and things are in the works now that weren't planned from the get-go. It's a successful line, it's not going anywhere for a while.

Don't know if it is true or not but I was at the Walmart in North Olmsted, OH yesterday and almost all of the aisles in their toy department were empty and some employees were restocking some shelves. Nothing new or exciting TF wise that I saw but it looked like a complete toy section reset to me.

I was at another Walmart today, wasn't as extreme but they had some big areas cleared off too.

I doubt this. Wal-Mart would clearance these out first before sending them to a place like TJ Maxx or Tuesday Morning.

Walmart is currently in the middle of the toy department reset. The speed at which everything gets changed over is largely determined by the productiveness of the toy department people themselves.

Sounds like some miscommunication to me, this report is basically saying "Walmart is resetting their aisles, toys from last year are getting sent to clearance and new products are being put out"

I would not read anything more into this report.

Sounds mostly like the leftover movie toys are getting moved along. I know several of them have been dumped in clearance already at some locations.

Until I read it from a more reliable site than Tformers, I don't believe this.

Incinerator Anyone? Anyone! They should have made them all black - they'd be gone in 60 seconds!

    My Wal-Mart? Clearance?

During the transition from Cybertron/Classics to Movie, they moved all their toys to clearance, same price, with a clearance tag on em', and were the same price as they always were until somebody bought them MONTHS afterwards.

Same thing with the movie, I see lots of Booster X10's rotting the clearance shelves at $7.50 each. Sigh.

At our walmart they did this last week. Almost the entire toy department was moved to the lawn and garden area and put on clearance in favor of new product. It was a little more than their typical yearly reset. Kinda freaked me out because 3 aisles were completely empty when I first saw it.

How much newer can they get? If they do pull the movie, animated, and universe line, whats left to replace them? Only more animated and universe. They're probably just pulling the movie line, and some miscommunication that they are putting in more animated and universe.

I'm just surprised movie stuff is still on shelves over a year after its a release. I know it sold epicly during the first half a year or so but the kiddy hype has really died down and it just doesn't seem to move very fast at all.
I figure they must have some serious faith in this line for it to still be on shelves.
