This is a two part entry, due to the amount of pictures. Much of what I'll be posting has never been seen by anyone else. This half is about the stuff I did while helping design the custom prizes for the Transtopia Awards. Energon Black Arachnia was originally proposed as a 2nd place prize for the repaint category. Unfortunately, it was eventually dropped due to time constraints, and was going to be considered for the planned 2nd awards. G2 Classics Grimlock was used (I think. It's been a long time.) Seeing as how some people like one over the other, it was decided that the winner would be allowed to choose. Classics Tracks was most definitely used. This one wasn't actually my idea. TFMaster asked me to do it, to see if it worked. The remaining three were the first ideas for next year's prizes. All three were pretty much decided on. In fact, the head in the Defensor pic was not shopped. TFMaster attached the head from a mini ko Defensor so we could see how it would really look. I never actually finished Catscan and Night Slash Cheetor, but even before I was done, we could tell how great they'd look. On a related note, Alternators Star Saber and Victory Leo were not initially made to be prizes. I didn't even know about the awards at that point. Before I was going to uploading them, I sent them to TFMaster first, so I could get his opinion. He liked them so much, that he decided to use them for prizes, and then brought me on board as the lead designer for the project.
I really like that Defensor. The Grimlocks are cool too. I always liked the Tracks as well. Thanks for posting these, buddy! It's always a cool thing when we get to see things like this. That contest was a ton of fun too; perhaps we'll see another like it soon
Okay I give up what mold is the Catscan and Night slash Cheetor from??? I so don't recognize it but it looks so familiar.
Tracks is perfect!! I actually was gonna use the same head for my Custom Classics Tracks, using a different body, but I may just do it this way!
Man that Tracks is inspirational. I already bought a second Rodimus to paint yellow like the Cheetor one you did. Not looking forward to painting the yellow on but the end result will be worth it
