Looking at this project makes me giddy like a schoolgirl. If I were a schoolgirl. It's just.....so full of win. I really cant wait until you have the final moldings done and paint apps applied. There are so many collectors that would love to get a set of the HOS line. Even if you never sell them, you should be totally proud of yourself.
I don't know... this looks pretty F-in' amazing to me! I never read the book, but if I hadn't seen this I would never have thought prime would make a good train. This blows that thought completely out of the water though! I just don't know what else to say.
Your execution on this project is outstanding! Looking at the finished product it appears as if you stole a prototype from HasTak themselves. I think the best scratch-build I've seen up till this one was that War Within Optimus Prime from 2k5 here. So what goes in the trailer - the HoS version of Roller? Is there one..? If not I suggest one of those lever-powered railcars the maintainence fellas used. Outstanding job, tho. Any idea on prices for the kit? ~Z
That is BEAUTIFUL!!! Masterpiece if i ever seen one.. Now i hope i can buy one when you get to selling them
Thanks buddy, this project accumulated everything I've learnt from of all my past designs and projects and experience in designing and making transformable figures so it is a little special and I refused to give up on it when the production failed for the first larger piece. All my previous works were in a way, experiments, and this is the result. It's the closest thing that I've made that I can call a toy besides a couple of vinyls and action figure wannabes. Though I won't call him flawless, I am very proud of him and hopefully there will be more to come and I can create something that can be on par with some simpler designs that Hastak produces. Hmmm there wasn't a roller in this and I don't even know how the trailer's supposed to look inside or what its supposed to do in the first place as Guido didn't draw an alt mode for it. I was think it'll be cool if I can put Bumblebee inside after I make him but then its dumb to keep another train inside a train and by right all the trains should be of the same width if they are gonna run on the same tracks. But heck my wheels don't even align on each side. lol It's gonna be US$120 (not inclusive of shipping). I'll provide an optional service for painting and assembly (the parts for the kit are gonna be dyed, not painted) for a fee but like I mentioned before, do feel free to get someone else you'd prefer to fix and paint it or provide the service yourself if you wish to do it.
Looking great Eric. I already have the 10" on order but I might pick this up too. I don't remember but will the 10" have the trailer too?
Hey Chris! Thanks a lot dude! How's your back? The large one has a trailer and it opens up too, but overall the mechanisms for this one is a little more polished unless Hal made improvements on it. But then again Hal has access to better materials in his location so I won't be able to know how it'll turn out. Hey there JAF. Thanks, this is the only thing I know how to do and naturally what I try to improve on. I can't redesign, reconfigure or repaint at the level of what many of the fellow radicon kitbashers do, and definitely not able to do what you can do so I'm glad that you liked it.
Want! but its gonna cost me approx USD 170- 180! Shipping cost to Asia is gonna be killer. BTW, Awesome work as usual, not flawless? Are you KIDDING?! Its perfect, dude. How many are you planning on making? Im sure its limited batches.
Hey Andy, how are you doing? Dude. I live in Singapore. KL ain't that far. And Thanks for the compliments
I've finally decided to start a pre-order. For those who are interested you can get more details here Good luck to me...
I was just looking at this thread earlier too and then you updated it I wish I had the money. If I did I would love to get an assembled/colored one so much
