I was going through my old TF Movie deluxe packeges tearing off the bubbles and saving the cardbacks to free up some space.. And in doing so got me thinking about all the repaints many of them had, but something I always thought was odd we didnt get, was a repaint of movie deluxe scorponok painted black into "dark scorponok".. So then I thought perhaps that will happen as a filler fig in later waves of the upcomming TF ROTF movie toys.. My question is this just for fun, what "repaints" of the first movie figs do you suspect might be part of the TF ROTF movie toy line? Who they will be? Besides a dark scorponok I suspect we might get a repaint of the movie starscream fig into "skywarp" as a filler fig in later waves of voyagers for ROTF
any G1 references would be fun. Pink Arcee, Red Ironhide, White or black prime, Long arm as hoist. More of the drone colors from the game. Voyager skywarp is a big one.
I was surprised we never got a red Ironhide, esp. after we got a white Ratchet. A Scorponok in green/purple (a la G1) would also look quite funky. But I'd be more open to repaints into different characters personally...
And a G1 colored Jazz, and a solidly colored red & blue 'First Strike' Prime, and already had a yellow Bumblebee. I'm not sure why, but I think someone had something against a red Ironhide. He was the only one not to get a G1 repaint, which had been what I was waiting for before buying the mold. Ah well, Hasbro's loss.
Well that wouldn't be much of a stretch XD. And it always did seem weird that we never got a red Hide. Especially after the blue Hide repaint.
I'm not sure if red really suits that mold. I've seen a few of the customs people have made, and I personally don't think they look that great.
I was really surprised that Skywarp didn't get the movie treatment. Usually it's him first, then Thundercracker.
Im diggin the Jazz into smokescreen idea, that would rock! Maybe they will throw us all off with the seeker repaint and it will be the one least expected, thrust! lol
maybe skywarp will return with starscream in the 2nd movie...since starscream was going deep space in the end squence i see him coming back with reenforcements....

No, he knew that. His point was that ALL the Movie Autobots (and even some offscreen ones) got a treatment in G1 style... with one notable and obvious exception: Ironhide. I'll buy that for a dollar!
