i recently played secret of monkey island and to me they should really bring back these old games as a compilation like vivendi did with there "quest and larry games" that or release them onto xbox live/ps store/wii shop channel. and yeah i know they've said they would make any new games like that until 2015 and only want to make star wars games.just wishful thinking lol

Lucasarts are massive douchebags and refuse to do it.

Another reason to hate on Lucas.

Yeah, I just finished Day of the Tentacle and Secret of Monkey Island on the wii. At least that machine is good for something.

Trail is playing my song. I still, to this day, have The Dig soundtrack sitting in my frequently-listen-to CD stack. And Full Throttle was badass. I love the setting. I know it's not the same, but that's one of the reasons I'm looking forward to Fallout: that same dingy wasteland-type setting.

I loved the Dig, but goddamn I swear it wasn't possible to beat it without looking up a walkthrough. Some of those puzzles were cruel and unusual. The musical score though was decidedly epic.

Urgh. This is all making me want to try installing ScummVM and Sam and Max on my work computer. Bad bad bad bad bad idea.

I sucked at the puzzles in The Dig. And it was during the advent of The Internet, so it wasn't easy looking up solutions.

My favorite part of the dig was putting a bomb in the turtle and then bringing it back to life to blow up the sea monster. Good one liner was when Robert Stack said "Have you seen this boy" from T2.

Full Throttle was awsome. Shame they never finished the 2nd one.

Not adventure, but I wish they had made a new Outlaws and a new Armed & Dangerous.

    Zak McKracken
    Maniac Mansion
    Day of the Tentacle
    Full Throttle
    Sam and Max
    All 4 Monkey Island Games

    *sigh*

All of those need some sort of remake/update or re-release, or whatever.

Well, except Sam and Max. Telltale has done a fantastic job with the episodic games.

Indeed. I love what Telltale is doing and can't wait for season 3 to start. BTW, I don't remember which episode of Sam & Max it was in, but there was a nice
Tentacle reference when you get the Rat in your inventory then try to put him in the freezer in the store.

Love the Monkey Island games. Some of the middle Larry games were fun like Love for Sail and the one at the resort.

The old Sierra adventure games need a comeback too.

    Kings Quest
    Space Quest
    Police Quest
    Quest for Glory
    Leisure Suit Larry
    etc, etc.

I remember the last Police Quest game for DOS, or it may have been the first Windows one. I think it had like 15 or 20 floppy disks to install it. Crazy.
