Could you imagine it (disregarding broadcast standards and practices) coming out of this character's mouth? How about this guy? It fits both of them to me, and I don't take either as a racist stereotype against black people, so there you go.

Meatwad yeah. I'd say his voice doesn't have any stereotypical leaning though. That helps. That particular line (as one example) through the style of voice Mudflap/Skids have (which I think could easily come across as leaning a certain way) paint a clear picture for me of why some have taken them in this light. But like I said, I wasn't personally offended by them.

 

They were a little mean to that one kid but I wouldn't call them racist. Besides, it would be more specie-ist then racist.  

 

I say yes because well one I am a construction worker and my union has alot of urban people in it and even they don't sound like that. I honestly believe who ever did character design on them had no black friends, watched the first source awards and maybe an hour of "The Parkers", or some horrible show then said hey that is a great character concept.

I feel the twins were far too over the top and thats what really adds to it.

Skids and Mudflap are some of my favorite movie characters. Way better then Jazz. But don't get me wrong Jazz is cool.
