Three of the "Elite" crowns in multiplayer are made up of Dinobot parts... Sorry if I'm late to the party, I've never seen this mentioned anywhere before and I generally lurk a LOT. Really though who thought of that one? The Titan has an overturned Grimlock head on the crown, the Destroyer has Swoop's wings on the crown and the Infiltrator has Snarl's head affixed to it. The Scientist just has a silver Starscream crown with no parts on it but wow, I thought I was going nuts when I noticed it. Not sure if I want to wear them more or less now... Guess that brings new meaning to the whole Grimlock being king saying.
I think its been mentioned a few times before. But yeah, not really an easter-egg, but a little visual quirk.
could you post images to show us? If u can't don't worry. If the crowns are parts of dinobots I would think it is an "Easter egg" rather than lazyness, if they wanted to be lazy they would've just used starscreams corronation crown on all of the classes. But now u mention it I do remember seein that crown with something that resembled swoops wings (it looked awesome though) I shall check this out next time I'm on
Interesting find. If they were lazy they would of just copyed starscreams crown onto every class so I like to think of it as a easter egg. To bad they didn't include a option to put the crown on every head (just not the dino and insect heads)
Sadly I can't, though once you notice it'll seem really obvious. Ah, too bad I thought I was onto something, I read through all 18 pages of that other thread a while back and didn't remember reading about it. Anyhow, it's kind of both if you ask me, since from the front you really can't tell, you've got it get in there really close to notice. Then again, you didn't really have to FIND them so I suppose you're right.
I really wish all heads were universal, not just the crowns. Judging by the in-game Insecticon holograms it's looking like there will be two scientists and one titan and I wanted the insect head that Destroyers get on my insecticon character...
I don't think you understood my what I meant was that you could the crowns on diffrent heads like put a crown on the jazz head or a crown on the vortex head.
I understood, I just wish they did they with all the heads, guess I was a bit off on my own tangent. Wish Starscream's crown wasn't stuck silver too.
This isn't laziness. It's reusing assets. It's a cost effectiveness issue; getting the most out of the work that has already been done. It's standard practice if applicable.
