so I got this game a week ago for my birthday, and the opening (which I guess you can't skip through) was the most painful thing I've ever dealt with in a videogame. it sounded like the speakers were broken on the tv--like some sort of alien trying to speak japanese with marbles in their mouth. for a game that's supposed to be so good, I'm really worried this is going to ruin it for me. is there a way to turn the "voice" off or something? sorry, but I only put the game in once, and didn't even make it to a playable part.

Clover did it on purpose, as they all spoke ancient japanese during that time. Personally, I find it suits to the game, as it lives your imagination to think how the way they talk.

BTW, Okami is a masterpiece by Clover (RIP), please play it. I played it 6 times. :)

It is an awesome game. The voices suit the game perfectly.

Isn't that the one where they talk like in Animal Crossing and Phoenix Wright, where the sounds sound like the syllables pronounced, but not actual words.?

(If that makes sense. )
