http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Moschitta,_Jr. Assassination Attempt In December 1989, Galoob and Moschitta had a falling out over some details in his Micro Machines contract. Moschitta was at the pinnacle of his career; the money he earned from doing commercial work was fueling his appetitie for crazed sex parties, week long gambling binges and, unbeknownst to those around him, paranoid delusions that Bishop Desmond Tutu was "out to get him". He was convinced that Tutu had strongarmed the executives at Galoob into reducing the number of Micro Machines that he could take home to play with on weekends - this infuriated Moschitta to no end. Moschitta sought revenge against the Bishop, and finally got his chance to exact vengeance on February 12, 1990, the day Bishop Desmond Tutu was to visit the South African Consulate in New York City. Armed with a Derringer strapped to his ankle and two uzis hidden under a bulky overcoat, Moschitta hailed a taxi and made his way to the Consulate. Moments after Tutu exited his limosuine, the deranged Moschitta leapt out of the taxi, screaming "pawn takes Bishop!" while firing his uzis into the crowd of Tutu's bodyguards. Three men were left dead and 3 more were injured, one severely. Moschitta was tackled by a pair of NYC garbage men and beaten severely by Tutu's remaining bodyguards. He was initially brought up on several counts, one being attempted assassination. The court later found the fast talking spokesman to be mentally unfit to stand trial and the case was thrown out; Moschitta, to this day, has no recollection of the events which transpired.
