for a while it was about a grand a year, back when binaltechs were in full swing and I was finishing up my g1 want list. now, especially with animated out and me not being a fan of it, I'd say in the area of $200-$500. if it wasn't for takara reissues and some pricey custom items (classics magnus trailer, etc.) it'd be less than that, for sure.

I spent a ton in the past few years, in the thousands. But starting this year I'm slowing that down to almost nothing. I'm gonna be very picky from now on. Mostly sticking to jets & spaceships & avoiding cars. They make way too many car TF's. I wish they would start concentrating on a better variety of alt modes.

If it wasn't in the neighbourhood of $500-$700 I'd be shocked. But that's just 2 years of me buying stuff. I could loose all interest in them next month and spend nothing. ADD. :redface2:

Only time I tried to figure it out was at OTFCC a few years back, where Hasbro was giving out the Energon spears for filling out a survey. I started trying to piece together how much I buy in a year and went "holy crap!".

... and now I got way better income than I did back then. :)

I've spent over 12K this year. Fortunately, I've sold even more.

The better measure is how much have I improved my personal collection?
Start of '07 I had around 170 g1 figures, many complete. Maybe 25 boxes.
Now I have every G1 figure complete and boxed except for my sig (Boxed Repugnus on the way) including over a dozen MISB and maybe 6-8 MOSC.
I would say, the past 16 months, the value of my collection has increased $20,000.

I don't keep records of how much I spend, just what I get. Nut if I were to guess, I would say between 1 and 2 thousand. I buy 1 of each mold from every line.

Well I can spend like $1K in a month then go a few months spend nothing then spend $500 ect... I seem to spend a lot at once then a little at a time? But I spend over 5K a year easy I would say.
