The only differences between the Hasbro MP Starscream and the TakaraTomy MP Starscream and Skywarp are the colors and the box they come in, I think someone said there may have been a slight alteration to the rear stabilizers to make them less pointy but that's it.

There is no more or no less diecast in either version, they are the same mold molded in different colors.

I don't understand all this mess about the TakaraTomy versions being so vastly superior and having more diecast. The only thing superior is the packaging.

They come with the same accessories, they are the same figure, the TakraTomy version comes with a nifty box and a sticker sheet.

This and the colors are the only difference.

    Thank you , rant over.

I have been seeing far too much of this deep in the pages of discussion about MP Starscream, I just know it's going to end up later the way it did with 20th Prime VS MP Convoy where people were saying MP Convoy was plastic and cheap, or back when the Hasbro G1 reissues came out and people were saying that the hasbro versions were plastic and inferior to the Takara versions.

The only time this actually happened was with Alternators VS Binaltech (that is the US versions were Plastic while the Japanese were partially diecast - which was inferior is a topic for another debate).

Hasbro SS has better plastic, IMO, and after side by side comparison, the plastic Hasbro used has a little more "flex" to it, as compared to the harder, more "brittle" and prone to stess marks MP03 and MP06.

The "better" plastic used on Hasbros' gives it a more sturdy feel when transforming.

Other than that, I agree with you.

Regardless of the fact that so far only Takara has released MP Skywarp, I still think that's the best one out of the 3 proposed.

I think most of the discussion has been geared in the direction of wondering which release has the best quality of plastic (and is therefore less likely to break)...

But yeah, thanks for that (I think...)

At least you share a birthday with a pretty famous person. :)

Still waiting to find the US MP myself. It will be my first version of the mold.

I agree with you there, I want Skywarp bad, I just need to come to terms with the cost.

I'm neither, I pick and choose what I like and buy a lot based on price.

For example, I chose to get BT Prowl over Alt Prowl because I like the colors better, and I chose Hasbro Starscream over Takara's Starscream because I liked the colors better and it was cheaper.

Actually "Biggy JC" was born in September. Just for PR purposes they made him share a B-day with another celeb, Saturn!

Dr. Archeville doesnt have a green face on the hasbro version, which is another difference I really appreciate.
