TRANSFORMERS BUMBLEBEE G1 AFA 70 ?Out of The Bubble" - eBay (item 160286326631 end time Sep-30-08 15:23:35 PDT)
If you look at This, apparently this item was perfectly sealed, but somehow the bubble became loose during the transportation(check buyer's comments)

I'm not sure what suppose to be the marketing price for a AFA 70 G1 bumblebee, but $1500 for a out of bubble one definitely seems too high.

Also, if the bubble was already kind of loose, shouldn't AFA factor that into their grading score?

Seller is in denial that when BB came off the bubble the price decreased by about 2000%

    Sorry about your luck.

AFA graded? Like that would warant paying 1.5K even if I cared about AFA grading, I don't even keep my TF's in their packaging. Heck, you could buy a lucky draw figure with that kind of money!

This is the fate of all series 1 pre rub minicars that are not packed correctly for shipping! The weight of the figure will make the 24-year-old glue give way if shaken during shipping. The item is worthless now, what a shame.

This was actually the highest graded pre rub yellow Bumblebee! The $2000 price was obviously legit! I've been offered $4,000 from the same buyer for my pre rub yellow Bumblebee. I will make a drive to Roswell,GA when I get mine graded!

The bubble was not loose when it was graded, the bubble had dents in it. AFA will give a blister grade of no higher than 80 if the blister is lifting.

I wouldn't pay that much for Bumblebee if it was MISB and wedged between Arcee's carefully molded butt cheeks.

That Bumblebee won't be mint for too long if he's just rolling around in that case.
