Manticore84OH I sent a pm. Please respond.
Tru in Toledo, they had everything
That's bullshit, on the shelf means it should be sold. No teasing us collectors.
Wave 1 only? Or was Wave 2 there as well?
I agree. If it has a street date, don't put it out early and then give customers crap about daring to buy something that was on the shelf.
I completely agree, problem is, getting the law (which is on the side of the customer) to enforce it is nearly impossible unless you make a scene getting the police involved. At that point, however, you're going to be removed from the store for causing a scene in the first place.
Plus there are signs with fine print allowing them the right to refuse service at any time for any reason and they can claim this is one of the reasons. Does it suck? You bet. Is there anything you can do about? Nope.
Oh yeah, I totally get all that, and they are well within their rights to deny a sale to you for any reason they choose. It just sucks to see something you've been looking for and get denied because of a technicality that they didn't observe until that point. Oh well, I'll just keep looking at the same annoyingly empty pegs all over Dayton!
Target in Beavercreek has TR Broadside
Wal-Mart in Beavercreek - TR Bumblebee & Kickback
Meijer in Kettering - TR wave 3 deluxes
Meh.. collectors go through this all the time it seems. At this point.. I know when something is street dated, so, if I see it on the shelf before that date, and they refuse to sell it, I'm fine with that. I have no interest in causing a fuss over a toy that has a street date.
they did offer to hold them for me till the 28th and give me 20% off
Well that's awesome! Glad they made it right!
TRU Eastgate has TLK Movie 1x Voyager Grimlock, 1x Deluxe Bumblee, 1x Deluxe Berserker, 2x Deluxe Slash, 2x Deluxe Barricade and the blind bag figures.
Oh, I completely agree. That's a pretty hard thing to swallow when they're basically slapping you in the face with it. I blame the management, more than the stockers, though. They're the underlings who are tired, overworked and underpaid. It also doesn't help that the "DO NOT SELL BEFORE..." thing is incredibly small and easy to miss. Especially in a slightly darkened backroom.
Management should have a checklist of what's what in the store and make it CLEAR to the staff that these are no nos.
Would save a heap of trouble. Granted, that doesn't change the fact that people get a hold of the SKNs and check to see if the item's in stock and if the CSM misses the note in the computer (which does happen), you're back to "Why won't you sell it to me?!?!"
In that instance, it's all on the customer that time and they deserve to walk away empty-handed.
When I bought the T-Rex Battle Zord from Amazon, it shipped right in the original Bandai shipping carton. It had a DNO warning ALL over the box top in big letters. You literally cannot miss it.
Hasbro might want to employ such a thing on their cartons from now on.
Glendale TRU has the TLK Wave 1 deluxes, RID Combiner Force Warriors Wave 2 (minus soundwave and blurr), and also all five of the Voltron lions if anyone is looking.
May want to check your local TRU for Broadside. Just bought one at TRU in Beavercreek and it rang up at the deluxe price of 16.99. There was one Broadside left there. Nothing else new there except some Legion class movie figures.
Has anyone seen Kup or preceptor at retail?
i should have checked this board first. I see the movie legion figures, very dumb
Kmart riverside ohio. 1 case of movie legion,1 case of movie 1 step, and 1 case of movie premier deluxe.
Man guys, that sucks. It's ludicrous that they take the time to stock shelves, and then refuse to sell the stock.
So I know when to start looking, when is the street date?
Separate names with a comma.
