Little People aren't so little today. They are fat, and they have arms and legs wtf. And because of all that, the sleek clean looking cars and trucks of old have turned into a mess of jumbo sized vehicles with random details that make it impossible for them to roll around in garage play sets and such. My childhood has been violated
Yeah, I saw that in this year's Sears Wishbook and I was ready to get good and riled up. Then I realized I was being a dildo and I let it go.
I don't know, I just think it's cool that they still make Little People. My cousins and I used to play with those all the time when I was really young.
honestly, i think your taking it a little far, so what if they updated the image? old school looking toys like that don't sell anymore, I used to work in a toys r us and noticed that "vintage" looking toys barely sold
I used to have Sesame Street little people in my very young years. I always found it curious that they had no limbs to speak of (Big Bird had arms molded into his sides)
That is bullshit. Those aren't Little People. I will make sure my kids know how much better old toys were than the new ones. But they will never be allowed to touch Daddy's old toys, for they are valuable collectibles now.
How are kids supposed to stick those up there noses? They probably don't get the same distance when shot from a rubber band either.
Hmm. My kids have the new Little People. I never had the old ones so there is no childhood violation there. The new Weebles, on the other hand, are something of an abomination. Heck, they have even redone The Letter People.
Bwah? That's really weird. I guess all you Michaels out there have to start paying licensing fees. That, or go by "Decepticon Michael" or "Final Battle Michael"....
Folks: The Little People have actually been through at least two redesigns since the early 90s, and the last one made them smaller but added arms (the previous ones were chunkified, because there was some sort of perceived or discovered choking hazard). http://www.thisoldtoy.com/L_FP_Set/T-People-history.html Yes, it isn't just Transformers that have rabid fans with online sites and arcane lexicons of jargon.
Is anyone else sick and tired of hearing this phrase? We, as a fanbase, need something new to express our dislikes.
I hated Little People as a kid, the towns and building were kinda cool, but pegs with hair never interested me. I'd use the Little People playsets for cool things like Transformers or G.I. Joes or M.A.S.K. ...still do actually
