Dull Surprise.

 

While people liking different facets of the TF mythos more then others and debate and defend even the "lowest" points in the Transformers saga, those are more about personal preferences and tastes. Though some people admit to liking Lee's style, everyone can pretty much agree that Lee is a giant asshat. Not liking what he did isn't a matter of taste, and people don't just defend things to be different. People defend things because they honestly like things...and very few people like Pat Lee.

 

funny how everyone is like "COOL!!! I LOVE YOU'RE STUFF!!!" on his blog and evryone here thinks he is a douche (and i agree). not even for the stuff he did, i just think his drawings are bloated pieces of s**t. sorry, i just feel a little strongly against him.

Wow! After reading that I am surprised that he is actually allowed back in the US ... ever! What a prick!

 

His 'really tall' art is really terrible.

I think his movie stuff is sort-of okay. Plenty of detail that he doesn't have to make up himself.

 

I love that picture of dull surprise with Optimus, Sideswipe, Trailbreaker, and Megs looking on at a severely disproportioned Devastator with suddenly smaller Aerialbots. It's like the first time any of them has ever seen Devastator actually triumph in a confrontation despite the fact the Seekers helped him. It's sorta like a "holy crap! Devastator actually came out on top!" which is sorta emphasized by the fact that Megs is gaping as well that something actually went right for him for once.

Oh, and Pat Lee is an arrogant, swindling jerk-off. Hey, now there's an idea for the artists on this board. Someone Photoshop a pic of Pat Lee's head on Swindle's body.

 

That'd be an insult to Swindle and (if we're talking Animated) Fred Willard.

While I've liked some of Pat Lee's artwork, it's streaky at best (a good piece, several bad pieces, etc.). However that has nothing to do with business ethics, unless he actually drew the few pieces I like to begin with.

Alex Milne is the MAN and Lee knows it.

I don't see why just because the guy made some horrible moves everyone disses his artwork. I personnally like it. It's really different, and the exaggerated proportions are kinda' kool. Just because they're really extreme doesn't mean they're wrong. I just read what Pat Lee did. Which was really wrong and I get that, but I like his artwork. Just wanted to say that.
