Not a Lucky Draw, that was Blue Big Convoy. This one is a lot more common, I think he's a store exclusive. When I was trying to get myself the original Japanese Big Convoy, I saw this one a lot at collector shows.

Yeah, not a lucky draw, but some hobby shops stateside charge like he was. I've been trying to get one (love the black/dark/nemesis Convoy/Prime repaints... yeah, it's a sick sick addiction...) and I haven't found a hobby shop around here that doesn't want at least $300 for him and I just can't drop that kind of cash right now... not sure I would anyways....

Of course, that's nothing compared to the price this one local guy wanted for a Galva Lio Convoy...

He was a TRU exclusive, apparently warmed shelf back then. I know a couple of people who picked him up for 1000yen.
I guess lots of people bought him on clearance and kept him sealed, because he's quite common on yahoo jp auctions. The price has gone up a lot, though.

Damn, I picked him up maybe a year or two ago stateside loose, for under $50, but he had been clogging their shelves for a while then too.

Great Fig, I only have this version and the Universe nemesis prime version of the mold, I think Big Black may be the one that is most impressive.

Stop talking about the jewel of my collection (except my LDs), you all are going to make it more expensive to pick up an extra one. I had two extras a few months ago. I tried to sell it to BBTS but only offered me $80 (of course I didn't sell it). Now they are selling one for $300. Like Laser_Optimus, I'm also a sucker for a Black repaints and I have almost all (except LDs)of them that I want. Black Big Convoy is my favorite and the only black repaint that may surpass it is Black Fire Convoy.

PS Laser, I know you can't wait for the SDCC Classics Nemesis Prime

I got one ages ago, didn't know he was going for so much.
Currently he's sitting in his box in another box somewhere at home.

Yep, one of my favorite figures, and one of only two TF's I have two of. It's a great figure, the only thing that could've made me happier about it would be if the waist was a bit looser. I often fret that I'll break it when I TF him, which is odd, neither Big Convoy or Nemesis Prime are tight like that.

I picked up the first one a few months after it came out, then the second one a few years back.

Your best bet for a cheap option might be to frequent the Junkion Exchange section (where board members list stuff they're selling).

Otherwise, BBTS has one (for $300!) and they occasionally show up on eBay, but not often and the eBay prices seem just as high... I'm sure Japanese auction sites get them more frequently, but you usually have to use a third party to bid on those if you don't live in Japan I believe.

Oh man, that seems like so much to do. Sigh, I'll keep my eyes peeled on the Junkion exchange, thanks everyone, you've all been very helpful.
