As much i as i love summer, mainly for vacation, the pool and the girls. If there one thing i hate about summer it's sure as hell is mosquitoes.


Every Second I feel like i'm being bitten every second by one. It's like i'm a blood bank buffet to them. Also i'm trying to kill them but those nasty buggers dash once i try to kill them with my bare hands.

*Squishs Mosquito with ball jointed pen* AHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!  




Do you guys get bitten by mosquitoes a lot during the summer or are you mosquito proof?

 

tea tree oil skin lotion. They hate that stuff.

I used to live in Saskatchewan, so I think it's safe to say that I've developed an endless rivalry with those little fuckers, even to the point of considering them more expendable than red shirted away teams.

 

I live in Maine where the black flies and mosquitoes will just about carry you away, so I feel your pain.

We had a really wet winter and spring, so that means bug season is gonna be murder this year.

My advice: Find the bug dope with the most DEET in it!

 

You think mosquitos are bad? Try living in a flea-infested house. The tiny little bastards multiply faster than you can kill, and swarm your legs if you walk through a patch of them. I almost have to play "The Floor is Lava".

Nah, the cats would pop it. Or bat me around the house.

 

Consider yourself lucky. Where I live, we have mosquitoes all year round.

 

Not to "brag", but I can't remember the last time I was bitten by a mosquito.

Ever tried flea-bombs?

 

Heh... I just pictured a bunch of them wearing really tiny sweaters & ear muffers.

 

I thought it was black flies that were way worse there. As in "5 of them working together can carry away a moose" worse.

DEET, but yeah, DEET's pretty much the only sure bet, its pretty toxic stuff though.

 

Sand fleas suck too. They drove me nuts while I was deployed in 2009.

All mosquitoes must die - I seem to remember hordes of them infesting Miami in 1981.

Best thing I've found to combat mosquitoes is Deep Woods Off - liberally applied to every inch of exposed skin.

 

I'm mosquito proof.

Haha, thanks. I just realized I misspelled "DEET". Maybe I was thinking of "Deep Woods - OFF".

But, I'll take my chances with the harsh chemicals over getting eaten alive!

 

We haven't because I'm paranoid about the gas harming my figures, and we have too many cats(14 rescued strays, long complicated story). We can't afford enough good flea medicine for all of them, so we're stuck using sprays and powder.


Oh shit, the floor's lava again!

 

Maybe you should get rid of your cats.

 

And red carpets.
