The official site for the album of Transfomers the Movie has gone live. The site has a tracklisting, as well as clips of three of the songs (Linkin Park's "What I've Done", Goo Goo Dolls' "Before it's too late" and Mutemath's "Transformers Theme").

There is not much other content available yet, however you can sign up for updates and exclusive soundtrack and movie clips.

    Check it out here.

I've heard most of the soundtrack already and I'm not impressed. I'm going to save my money for another Transformer. :)

The soundtrack is the only thing I absolutely loath about this movie.
Worst bands and music taste, ever. Period.

Now the score on the other hand... *waits impatiently* :D

That's a pretty lackluster soundtrack, not a decent band in the bunch.

Honestly, MuteMath's current single, "Typical" is quite good, but what little else I've heard from them, including their TF theme, leaves much to be desired.

At least, this is one of those "inspired by" soundtracks, so a good number of these songs won't even be in the movie.

well I liked what I heard from Linkin Park and Goo Goo Dolls. I typically like Smashing Pumpkins and Disturbed so don't see why I wouldn't like those tracks as well.

Mutemath's TF theme isn't all that spectacular. Once I can hear all the tracks I'll decide wether to buy it or not.

And eveyrone keeps talking about getting the score...will it actually be available? I can never seem to find those.

Eh there's no such thing as good/bad when it comes to music or music taste. You guys don't like this stuff, fine, but don't shit all over it, some people will enjoy it and that's great.

i'd really like to see what people would consider good bands, this cd is filled with great bands, linkin park, smashing pumkins, disturbed, goo goo dolls, the used, and then a big varity more of music, i can't see how people don't like a single band on this cd, granted i most likely won't by the cd but a good chunk of bands on here are top notch bands

I don't know? I find that the majority of people have no idea of the truly great variety of music that is out there. A band starts a mainstream trend, and then every other band that wants to make it big or has no imagination copies it. Then the radio plays the same singles all day long. It's soulless and empty, the lyrics are usually recycled and juvenile, and it's never about anything novel.

I guess if I had to recommend some of my favorites for people who really want to hear something different but good, I would list a few:

    The Dismemberment Plan
    Calexico
    Animal Collective
    Califone
Broken Social Scene (the name implies emo but it's not!)
    Caribou
    Grandaddy
    Pavement
    Man or Astroman?
    Of Montreal
    Sparklehorse
    Tortoise
    Wolf Parade
    Yo La Tengo

My favorite source for new music is pitchforkmedia.com. That about sums it up.

Yeah, call me old fashioned, but I don't care too much for these bands neither. I'll buy the incidental music to it though, as long as it's released.
