I am not sure if there is a Tekken 6 ongoing, and sorry, Twin Twist, but honesty compels me to say that I am just too lazy to search.

I figured that someone would appreciate my posting the news that there is a new trailer for the game over at the Kotaku's house.

Most people I know have fallen out of love with the series -myself included.

The CG stuff is impressive (albeit nonsensical); the in game footage [BORAT] not so much [/BORAT]

Eh I will probably get it. I have all the others. Although it looks really similar to 5. Too bad it doesn't come out until fall of 2009! That's a long time, and on the Xbox 360 too? That's a 1st too. Not just on Sony.

Tekken sucks balls, and always has.

Well, thats a lie, the series high point was Tekken 3.

Always ALWAYS pwned by the Virtua Fighter series. But I'm sure a lot of Playstation 1players would disagree.

i was a big fan until tag, didn't play much of 4 and i have 5 online on ps3. i can't get with the style of knocking someone down then doing the same move over and over again so they can't get up.

street fighter and vf keep my fighting spirit alive!

I love Tekken, for me its just perfect. Virtue Fighter, and DoA all seem so....bland in comparison. I'm also a big fan of the one button : one limb control system they have.

I loved Tekken 2 and 3. Characters were so much cooler in Tekken.

Didn't like 4 and can't stand the VFs.

I managed to play Tekken 6 at the local arcades and I must admit that I was impressed by the series - in fact, I grew up with it but stopped at 4? Some of the characters were too overpowered such as Jin. What are the chief flaws of Tekken???

the whole one punch, one kick, one throw and one block button setup seems like shit and sponge cake to me. And while I'm far from an expert, having done a bit of martial arts, I can see some realism in the way Tekken's characters move and fight.

Although most of that gets shat upon from a great height when you do special moves like Kazuya's totally weird (but very cool) Lightning Uppercut.

I don't need fighting games to be realistic, but I do need them to be balanced and intense. Two things that the Tekken series has never gotten correctly, IMO.
I submit Eddie Gordo\Christine as evidence.

The only effective combos are the ones where you launch your opponent in the air and then juggle them for as many hits as you can, or where you knock the opponent down and then continue to hit them before they get up.

I was a big fan of Tekken 2 & 3, but 4 puts me off and I haven't been buying the game since. My interest in fighting games now centers around Street Fighter. I may get KOF or Soul Calibur as well.

I enjoy the Tekken, and MK franchises as a whole (haven't experienced the latest yet), but Soul Calibur has taken my cake ever since Soul Edge, way back in the day.

I know this can be said of all fighting games to a certain extent, but more than most I think that Tekken is just the same old thing with a new coat of graphic polish.

There is no true 3-D movement, no interaction with environments, nothing new.

I thought it was funny when Tekken Tag was the big thing, but DOA was quietly already doing tag (and much better, too).

Soul Calibur is good. Namco should give the next Tekken to Project Soul.

I've been playing Tekken since I was young, and Tekken 6 looks just as good as 5 was. I'll be buying it.

For the record, I thought DoA was okay, but not that great. Sould Calibur 2 was also good, but 4 was boring.
