It's what overlord would of been in stores if he was regularly stocked, at this point I'd consider it a bit of a deal.

 

IU wonder why he WASNT stocked regularly... the ONE Time I saw him there were 8 on the shelves at once they were gone in like a DAY. There are a half dozen Wal Marts in my area and 3 Targets that he never even came to... it makes NO sense.

 

I never saw Sixshot,B.shadow or Overlord at retail along with TR wave 5 (I got TR Slugslinger surprisingly -Wave 6 was a last minute xmas miracle down here)

By next week, I'll be done with TR checklist - woot!

Question for those more in the know then me when it comes to eBay promotions - is there any hope for a general use coupon or eBay bucks promotion in the next couple weeks? When does this kind of stuff typically happen?

 

During non-eBay bucks reward months. And January is a reward month....

 

Why’s TLK Voyager Hound lowering in price so significantly on Amazon, yet TLK Voyager Megatron isn’t  

 

Yep, rewards expire Feb 2 actually, so it's not likely we'll see any eBay promos until 2/3 at the earliest. They usually don't double up promos with Bucks redemption time.

 

Megatron was one of the best figures of the year, and Hound was okay.

 

It's all algorithms. Either there is a shortage and they can charge more or there's a surplus and they need to move inventory. It's watching total traffic to that particular page and what other sites are charging for it. I'm sure there's 30 other factors that I don't know about.

They're not going to charge more because one figure is "cooler." Plus that term is completely subjective.

 

No, but a more popular figure will sell better and need to be marked down less.

Normally, yeah, but I did the math, and it turns out this is objective fact. It's weird, I know, but in this one instance it worked out.

 

Blew my mind recently when I did finally return Hound and Nitro to get Grimlok and Starscream...I got 32.92 back for the TLK Voyagers, it had been a while, before Christmas and a lot of work drama so I didn't remember them costing THAT damn much. Its no wonder they are shelf warming. It seems backwards that the movie stuff is more than the seemingly more sought after and "collectible" Gen stuff but there we are. And the 5 dollar bump seems rather arbitrary and excessive my any measure. I guess its also surprising and welcome that Target at least and at least so far didn't do the announced price increase on POTPs that was announced. Grimy and SS were 24.99 and Optimus was 39.99
