1st Official iPhone "Transformers : G1 Awakening" Trailer

Glu mobile just updated their official YouTube page with the 1st Trailer for "Transformers : G1 Awakening" coming soon (end of this Febuary in fact) to an iPhone near you. (Don’t look at me, I don’t have one :D )

    Enjoy the video :

    YouTube - Transformers G1: Awakening iPhone/iPod Touch - preview trailer 1

To be honest, I prefer the normal phone version over this one...

EDIT : You can now buy the game at the Apple iStore for $4.99 : http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/transformers-g1-awakening/id339831441?mt=8

I'll get it if it isn't more than, say, 5 bucks or so.

    You are correct, sir :)

But, I guess that the link will say it all. Just calling it the "iPhone version" will convey the message.

    The game you mean ?

    Well, that's easy then. :)

Just Buy/Download the Java (Jar & Jad) version of the game.

Note : This should work for most Android devices

    1. With your JAD & JAR files, go to: Get APK and convert to an APK file

    2. Save your APK file onto your SD/MicroSD card or anyother Storage device you have for your mobile.

    3. Download AppManager (one word) or comparable program that allows you to install from your SD card

    4. Install Java J2ME Runner App

    5. Using AppManager, install the created apk file from your SD card

Your file should be found both in your main folder; as well as in the J2ME's "App Manager". You may need to play with the configuration to get the program to fit alright. I have Auto detect Game Canvas clicked; but have had to change it for a few games...

It's not perfect, but it seems to work alright with some of old java games.

Yes, it's okay and accurate to just call it the iPhone version as the iPod touch runs the iPhone OS.

But the graphics and animations are better on the Iphone, and unless you're a tester, you can't comment on the gameplay, which should probably be similar except take advantage of the one type of gaming the iphone is good for, strategy. So, I'll still venture this version is better, which is still not saying much.

I had the original version then I updated to the 3d version for my SE w350 This game is pretty fun. I'm a sucker for tactical RPG's like this. If this tickles your pickle try out Zone of the Enders: The Fist of Mars for GBA. Same kind of game.

A bit nitpicky here - Prime's strength is 85-95, which is the same as Starscream, while Megatron's is 95-120? WTF! Remember, G1 we're talking about, so they should be around the same. Still looks pretty good. I haven't then the original version, so I don't know if I'd be missing out on anything if I were to get the iPhone game.

ugh... i wish the zune hd would start selling apps.. im tired of apple getting all the cool touch screen games

i had a similar complaint and this is the same in the old mobile version. Prime is pathetic compared to Megatron. Megatron is allowed to shoot from a distance as well. When there was a level of prime vs. megatron, going head on to megatron meant you'd die in a couple turns. You needed to capture power stations to upgrade prime to make him stronger... yeah i dunno i dont think it's fair. I guess the "ultimate" autobot grimlock balanced them but you rarely use him. In general, I feel like the team strengths are unbalanced. The autobots seem to need to use gun-and-run strategy a lot more..
