Why couldn't Armada toys like Smokescreen have looked as nice as Quickmix?

    *excited*

i am just not feeling the Giant planet fellows at all. Quicmix here doesn't look bad per say, he just doesn't really look all that good to me. Actually, he looks very much like an Energon figure. At least he has an Alt mode that actually looks like something, which is more than his compatriots can say...
shoulda been named 'Aero-drone' or something of the like, coulda been a troop builder. Still, it's one of the worst molds in the line, so i'm not bummed out that the repaint isn't appealing to me...

I've already passed on a Skywarp, so he doesn't look any better in person than in pics.

Quickmix just isn't exciting me at all. Does he have the brainmaster thing going like Menasor does? That might sway me to buy him, since it'd be a double homage that way (G1 Quickmix and the gimmick).

Quickmix probably looks a lot nicer when the person posing and transforming it isn't a dolt.

Gah. I don't like that colour scheme on Quickmix at all. Seems a bit playschool.

Unlike both other Giangantia figures Quickmix looks like a toy I could well buy, both modes look cool. Though (as always) really they need to get their photographers to actaully check the instructions to see if they've transformed them properly.

IMO orange is a perfectly reasonable colour for a construction vehicle.

You reeeally don't need instructions to tell that he's mistransformed. I can't for the life of me understand why these guys have such trouble.

Ahem, on to the toy...Looks great. A perfect upgrade pf the G1 figure. Even has a similar head. Minicon sucks though.

I doubt actual instructions even existed when these photos were taken. People need to remember that these pics are usually taken of a production or hand painted sample well before this toy was ever publicly shown and by people who couldn't give a crap about Transformers. They're probably the same photographers they use for everything esle at Hasbro, be it board games or My Little Pony.

I would have liked Quickmix if his colors were darker. A Rust color if you will. He looks too Tonka for my tastes. As far as Skywarp goes, They should have just painted him exactly like G1 Skywarp, Period.

Yes, but it's not mistransformed - just posed like an idiot, in exactly the same way you could do with a GI Joe but don't because it'd look bloody stupid.

There's not really any excuse for this. It's always amused me that Hasbro apparently don't like unofficial pics of toys because they show items in a bad light, when their official photographers are the worst offenders.

Blame McFarlane for buying up all the cool black plastic.

Anyhooo... That settles it. "Armor Scattorshot" is indeed Quickmix.

Easily the best figure from the Giant Planet. He's the only one that doesn't transform simply by bending his knees.

Colours could use a little more detailing, but still nice overall.

Head sculpt is kickass, and the key gimmick is really cool. And "Stripmine" is an awesome name for a minicon!

I'm really surprised we're seeing pics of him so soon, he only comes out in August, right? That's like a lifetime from now...

AGREED. Such an awesome toy design hampered by people who do not know how to transform the darn toys right.....do they even realize they are working on the TRANSFORMERS toy line? Sheesh. :stick:
Its sad how they do this.

Otherwise, man what an awesome design, and all this time I had NO IDEA quickmix was an autobot!~ A must buy for sure.
