What's with all these hideously priced store exclusives Hasbro keeps spewing out?

Most of the GI Joe store exclusives are fairly priced, why not the Transformers?

With many (all?) Wal-Marts carrying ROTF Deluxes for $10 again, how is this supposed to sell exactly? :lol

Including Sideways will not do it any favors, that's for sure.

Not at my Wal-Mart. $10 even is their current price.

Because it's a Rollback deal. It's not like Wal-Mart is a stranger to overpriced exclusives...

So. If you don't have the Sideways mold by the end of this line, odds are you don't collect movie toys.

I already have my Dark Sideways in single pack form. Don't need the other guy. If anyone needs a Dark Sideways I have an extra one misb. This is the same one you see as the Walmart exclusive.

    Ok..
Even by your logic that's still $26 for 2 deluxes.. Woo an extra buck for 2 repaints... sweet.

And the Ice Cream twins I picked up at my walmart for $10, the list of deluxes on target.com for $10, and the list of deluxes on walmart.com also for $10 (all rolled back from $11.88 apparently) disagree with you.

The only place I see that seems to be different is toys r us at $11.99 for a deluxe, and a whopping $34.99 (vs. 29.99) for a human alliance fig..

If it was released at another other time, I'd say yes. It'll likely be out by Black Friday, so I don't see any of the 4Q exclusives lasting beyond Christmas.

My only complaint on this set is that Sideways really isn't even a repaint... I'm hard pressed to purchase a set of toys when I already own one.

The price is excessive however, Dinobot Nuva is mostly correct on the suggested MSRP of a deluxe figure. Target and Walmart are currently running sales on deluxes and probably will be throughout Christmas. As to why this is even a point of argument, well, you got me.

Ridiculous especially since Sideways barely had any time in the film.
