Hey, look, his mouth isn't hanging open on the boxart! Looks better IMO. Overall, a nice looking figure. Very G1-ish.
Definite pick up.
Looks awesome. Can't wait to get it.
You know, that might not even need a head remold to make a passable repaint into Darkwing.
OK, I haven't been paying attention. What exactly is Ultra Class and what is the price range? I was thinking all this time that Silverbolt was going to be Voyager Class. What's an example of a recent Ultra toy?
Pass. Transformation looks like Mc'D TF level.
Ultra is a step down from Leader size and is $30 at most places. They haven't been made since the Cybertron/Galaxy Force line. TRU Exclusives Jetstorm and Wingblade are the most recent Ultras to be released.
Looking forward to him.
Silverbolt can't come out soon enough!!
He's looking good. While he does have a simplistic transformation, it's definetly not as bad as happy meal TF toys. Can't wait to see him in person.
The Universe ones are actually going to be placed at $25 at retail.
Looks good to me!
And I like simple transformations. A complex transformation is not what I buy the figures to enjoy.
Looks like an airplane with a Transformer strapped under it.......pass for me.....
Because its supposed to! He's gonna look so awesome with modified seekers strapped to him wooot!
That's actually been the Ultra MSRP since Armada (when it was called "Giga-Con").
TRU has typically been $29.99 (except for the exclusive Movie Ultras, which are $24.99, oddly), while W*M has been $26.xx, and Target has been $24.99. Meijer WAS $24.99 during Armada and Energon, but I believe they hiked it up to $29.99 during Cybertron. Hasbrotoyshop.com also has them for $24.99.
I really like it. Lights and sounds, and neither gets in the way of anything it seems. Sure, his transformation isn't anything to write home about, but there's a lot more to a Transformer than just its transformation. Look, appeal, style, articulation, etc, are other areas this new Silverbolt seems like he will make up for. Kind of like Cyb Vector Prime, while he too has a simple transformation, he seems to be quite popular for his looks, articulation, and overall funness. As a G1 old fart, this Silverbolt brings back memories as the original Arialbots essentially carried their jet halves on their backs.
Looks good. A definite add to my collection.
Nice. Silverbolt has been one of my first G1 figures back in the days, i still have one in kinda bad shape and a G2 version that's still holding together nicely, but i think i will try to get this one
I really, really like how he looks. The 'jet on his back' look doesn't bother me, just like it didn't bother me when I was a kid. What bothered me as a kid was that all of the jet-on-back transformers could barely move anything but their arms. This guy looks very nicely articulated.
One thing that would have been neat, and this is probably a strange idea, but since most of the bot has nothing to do with the jet parts, they should have made the jet detachable. Make him a 'Parabot' where the jet flies in and drops the folded up bot, which then transforms in mid-air and parachutes down, ready for battle.
