It baffles me how they have such a hard time getting this line right. If they would just drop the SW universe characters and have the SW vehicles turn into Autobots and Decepticons they would be on the right track.

But even without TF characters, there is no reason most of these things are so bad. First of all, WHERE ARE THE EP 4-6 VEHICLES?! The best molds have been the Falcon and Death star (by far), the walker, and the Emperor's shuttle. Nobody gives a damn about generic CGI ships that had 4 seconds of screen time in bad movies. We want a star destroyer! And a much better X-wing! Dear God, a much, much, much better X-wing! Or how about a Luke in any vehicle that doesn't suck!? And a real Y-wing and Jabba's sand boats and Speeder Bikes and the smaller walkers.

Did I mention Star Destroyer? Because we should have a Star Destroyer. So in case I didn't mention Star Destroyer: Star Destroyer. I don't care if it separates and turns into Luke's uncle Roy and the blue Elephant from the Mos Eisley band. Star Destroyer. Gimme.

Forget the rest of the line, this is officially the best crossover EVER!

 

I have to say, though, that I absolutely LOVE the box artwork from this line. Does anyone know who the illustrators are?

 

That can not be Anakin, it must be the Twilight's original owner... he's still horrid though.

 

If the line is selling well enough to keep going alongside the movie toys, I'd say they're already "getting it right".

The first year or two of the line was nearly all OT, including the 2 largest toys the line has had. (Those 2 large OT toys, BTW, have been the only SWTFs I've seen on clearance.)

Now, Hasbro is using the CRAAAAAZY tactic of making SWTFs based on the current media, Clone Wars. EVERYBODY knows they should be making only toys based on the 30-year-old media instead. They're obviously amateurs at this.  

 

Because Fantatic Star Wars fans will by anything that has Lucas' stink on it  

 

  and its Uncle Owen and that "elephant" is Max Rebo

 

Nobody except for the millions of kids who grew up with the prequels as their first exposure to star wars and associate with those movies more. Damn kids who buy toys they like!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually Hasbro has gone on record as saying the collectors market is dwindling as they have covered pretty much all of the Ot. Clone Wars and Saga Legends is totally outselling the Legacy collection. Again it's the kids buying this up and collectors do not have the pull they think they do.

 

No matter how often this irrefutable statement gets posted, there will still be those who'll wave fat fists to the sky in a frothy mix of anger and denial.

 

 

Look on the bright side, it's a down economy, I'm not working right now, I've had to downsize my place.  

I can wait out SW:TF & Bayformers 2!

Then when I've got a new job, apt., and disposable income, there will be wonderfull TF's to buy again.

The Y-Wing, again, a TOTAL miss. I guess kids, and their parents are indeed getting dumber and dumber to continually buy crap like the SWTF line.

 

Yeah, kids and parents are obviously idiots for buying something that you don't like. Obviously.

 

I disagree with having them turn into Decepticons and Autobots. I think they should find a way to make the heads look good, either using existing STARWARS helmets or just simplifying these faces. A silver Luke Skywalker head or Destro look will always look ugly on any robot. The puppet style face with clear hinges would look better.

I think the Y-wing is a success in my book, and the best of the entire line!
