Official pic of the two new Star Wars Transformers repaints that were displayed at Comic-Con 2006. It's in the slide-show link on the upper right of the article.

I have to say that they aren't bad, and Vader looks a little better (added paint apps?), but I haven't been collecting the SWTFs so I'll be skipping these.

That Vader is somewhat of a disappointment. The head looks funny and honestly it is a weak mold to begin with, the arc trooper looks pretty sweat though…

The Eta-2 mold doesn't really have enough space for a properly-sized Vader helmet, unfortunately. Having said that, I think the toy looks great. The sculpt they ended up using for the head looks rather McQuarrie-concept-esque. I love the wing decos, too!
    Ew. :D

(Yes, I know what you meant. And I agree. VERY glad they went with a trooper helmet rather than the pilot one this time around.)

I dunno about the Vader, I understand that they want to get a lot of use from the mold, but they could have done others. Either way I will buy it, because I am apparently Hasbro's bitch

I really don't dig this line... for most of the villains. They just used the helmets from the already made figures.

At least they went the extra mile on the Obi Wan and Anakin to style them up in the mechanical sense.

But then they let me down on the Millenium Falcon - Han - Chewie pair. :(

I'll get 'em. They go nicely with the other 11. Course, now I'll have to rearrange the wall that I have them displayed on.

I'll get them both. Somehow it's the only series that makes me want to buy the repaints.
