I'm still not sure if I want to get Samurai Prowl since I have the original. It looks a little bulky, but it's not too bad. Waspinator is freaking awesome and I'll defiantly be getting him.

 

I hope they come out with a Wasp and not just Waspinator or at least a Bumblebee Cybertron form, since they're the same.

 

Waspinator's animation model is awesome, I'm really looking forward to seeing him on the show and on shelves

Nope, I look at the pic of the newest image of the bike mode, and the wheel that has the star does have one, but the blades are molded together.

 

1. Though Waspy was in Beast Machines, he was really a Beast Wars character.
2. We've have 7-8 years of vehicular robots, and more than a decade of them before that. Having insecticons, dinobots, terrorcons, and predacons didn't hurt G1. Having 5 beastly toys for animated shouldn't stress anyone's systems.

 

Haven't paid much attention to distribution times in a long while, but it used to be that it could take 3-5 months for a figure to go from first sighting to saturation. If Waspy is scheduled for the end of December, and knowing how slowly stores restock after the holidays, I wouldn't expect saturation until after the new season begins.

It's funny. When I was a kid, I loved finding new figures that no one had seen yet. I just assumed that they were going to be on the show, and I felt like I'd gotten a sneak preview.

 

Kind of looks like Samurai Prowl's helmet-less head has no visor, or painted visor at least. Not liking the missing paint apps on the fingers etc.

 

My feelings are mixed on Waspinator. He looks awesome but still has that kiddie Animated look. I may still get him just for the Beast Wars Universe stuff.

Gosh I hope so. My brother got to it before I did, and if my bro gets a figure, I never get that figure. (it ends up in my room anyway  )

I'm not liking Prowl as much as I hoped I would. Think I might stick with vanilla Prowl.
