    This is interesting.

The packaging IS different from the US versions in several details:

    1) The "Commemorative Series (roman number)" block is missing (possibly because Prowl was part of series IV, and Infermo was part of series V).
    2) The "Choking Hazard" warning label is missing.
    3) The "registered trademark" claim ® after both characters' names is missing.
    4) On Prowl's box, the "Classic Reissue" logo is missing.

What's interesting is that those are different differences (erm, you know what I mean) than those found on the UK releases of the first Commemorative Series:
    Optimus Prime
    Ultra Magnus
    Rodimus Major

All of those had hexalingual packaging with the terms "Generation One" and "Commemorative Series" in English, German, French, Dutch, Spanish and Italian.

So it seems like Prowl and Inferno and truly intended solely for the British market.

Say now....does Britain have TRU? Reason i ask is because i know Hasbro New Zealand was wanting to import the G1 Reissues while they were in production, but due to TRU not opening stores here, and the exclusive agreement, they couldn't be released here.

Since those reissues are lacking some of the usual stickers and so fourth of the reissues. Perhaps they're going to see a non-TRU release? that'd be great if they are....so we could get them here....

G1 was repeating on TV yet again recently here, and apparntly it was getting good ratings. When Armada was airing, ratings were so bad that they canned it and put G1 on to increase ratings, and they did......i'd guess that there'd be demand, however little it would be, for the toys.

Yes we do, unfortunately for me since there are no TRUs anywhere near me so I always miss out on their stuff. And they seem to be the only place Hasbro's really bothering with right now.

I'd maybe get Inferno if I ever saw him, but like I said, I won't.

    Hmmm.

Although a bit late, it's wayyy better than never. I wonder if these toys are a brand new production run or factory overflows. If Hasbro UK decides to reissue a toy not seen in the States (Blitzwing, Soundwave, Thrust, Ramjet, etc ...), I wouldn't be happy at all.

Without wanting to sound rude, how do you think we've felt in the UK since 1984 when it comes to stuff not getting released over here?

It's really unlikely -- Hasbro UK's been generally incompetent for years, and I doubt TRU would touch reissues after the trouble they had getting rid of Starscreams and PM Optimus Primes...

Be nice if they saved us some importing, though.
