Though I do agree with your points, Bungie tends to save too much of the "holy shit!" moments for cut scenes, whereas most other developers in the genre nowadays make the game itself cinematic without cut scenes.

 

Yeah that's what I ment. And don't get me wrong, it was cool as shit when Chief blew up any Halo or when he rode a fucking bomb through space but I just wished Bungie would attempt to make there games more cinematic instead of cockteasing people into false epicness like the trailers.

Hopefully Halo: Reach will change my nagging.

 

I would have liked to lived through that battle scene in the Believe commerical too. I still did enjoy the campaign in Halo 3 because it contained some epic moments, like taking on 2 Scarabs at the same time, win!

By the way, I forgot what trailer I saw it in, but I noticed a massive difference in scale (unless Im delusional). In one of the videos, there was a fight with some jackals and the jackals where as tall as the guy you're playing as. Makes me sudder at how the brutes will be.

 

Just preordered. Looks like we're starting the ODST TFW Squadron. With Dag as the leader.

And I agree that Halo 3 had some epic moments. Especially when experianced with 4 players.

Oooooh, I dunno if you want me leading anything. My current work and school schedule is HELL. I havent even preordered the game, but I will, probably last minute. If the game has a midnight release, I dont think I'll be able to play it the moment I get back home, and if the game's avilable to get on a Wednesday, I'll be in school but after class I can play. If all of you are ready to play through the campaign by the time I'm still in class then I think someone should replace me for the "going in blind Co-op campaign".

Oh yeah, if I can make it with you guys, I'm gonna reserve several gigs of memory on my Xbox and make sure that I record every moment we do of the campaign.

When I get back tomorrow from vacation, I'm changing my helmet to ODST in excitement for this game.

There is one thing that I wonder about the Multiplayer beta for Halo: Reach. Do you think everyone will be wearing MJOLNIR Mk V armor like in Halo: Combat Evolved?

 

Maybe an updated version. Though, I think we'll still see the different armor variants.

 

If Reach takes place before the events of Halo:CE, then the armor should look like the ones in Halo Wars.

On a different note, a friend of mine thinks the game is crappy and is a game of lies despite telling him to reserve judgment til it comes out. I personally think it's going to kick ass especially after sampling Firefight. Opinions?

Only a few more days, I'm so goddamn excited for this game. I'm more excited for the reach multiplayer demo though, I'm really not into Halo games without Master chief!
