Since the game's coming out in a few weeks, I believe a thread about this upcoming game is in order. So far, we know that this takes place in between Halo 2 and Halo 3, we play as ODSTs this time, and we can play as Sergeant Major Johnson in the new multiplayer mode, Firefight.

Any thoughts?

 

Gonna be the next game I preorder. It was either this or MUA2, but ODST, being a Halo game, will go fast. REALLY fast. Best to take the precaution and get by copy cemented.



Plus I need that Halo:Reach beta. NEED IT!

 

Which stores are offering Sgt. Johnson with the preorder? And the new Halo 3 maps come with all versions, right?

 

Really looking forward to some TFW Firefight games. I've had the CE on pre-order for over a month. I'm all for a limited edition wireless controller for $20 less than retail of a standard wireless controller. The gameplay sounds pretty interesting, with the lack of energy shields and the return of health packs. Should play a bit more tactically.

 

So what else does the CE come with? I'm a dirty, dirty whore when it comes to Collector's and limited editions of games.

Just an ODST themed controller, no other extras. Theres nothing different with how its packaged other than the controller.

The Halo 3 MP comes on a seperate disck all together. Pretty cool but I probably won't play much of that, never been good enough to not get frustrated unless it was with other TFWers. Firefight does look kind of cool though.

 

I'm a huge Halo fan and can't wait for ODST!  I already have it pre-ordered from Gamestop so I can get the code to play as Sgt Johnson in firefight.

I hope the multiplayer keeps the night-time feel on some of the maps like the campaign does, that would be pretty cool!

I'm tempted to preorder this game, but I can see everyone and their dog using sgt. johnson (kind of like the hyabusa armor from halo 3). Still though this game will probably be awesome to play regardless

 

I'm pumped they're putting a Horde style mode in it. AND Nathan Fillion! PUMPED! And I hate Halo!

 

I didn't really enjoy Halo 3, but I am looking forward to ODST, due to its description as "More action-y Metroid Prime on the 360." Also, Firefight looks pretty damn cool too. It reminds me of Survival in L4D, which I absolutlely love.

 

I tried Firefight last friday with my bro at the Gamestop ODST tour and it frickin rocks.  s I do look forward to getting my copy soon and hopefully there are TFW firefights. I missed out on the Halo 3 multiplayer so here's to weekly Firefight sessions.

 

I'm looking forward to it. Having part of the cast to Firefly doesn't hurt either.

I'm abit sick of Halo 3 multiplayer but I can't wait for firefight mode but I'm afraid everyone online is going to be Johnson, I much prefer to be the ODSTs in Firefight.

 

While I'll have the Johnson code, I also prefer to wear ODST armor.
