    So.

After going through so much crap to download the game (no WiFi), one moved Wii system to my apartment with a cheap adapter and a quick-thinking on my part with my cable modem, walla, Kickback now owns the game and the 7 chapters released thus far (Lunarians being the latest).

Let's talk some Final Fantasy IV!

    SPOILERS AHEAD.

    Main Game
    - THIS GAME IS HARD.
    - Ceodore is kind of like Terra from FFVI, but depowered after using "Awaken" ... discovered that it doesn't last the whole battle, he can "de-awaken" in mid-battle and have like 4HP ... yeouch.
    - Hooded Man ... we all knew who he was, it was too obvious with the blonde hair and the left-handed stuff and the overall badass ability.
    - I love how we're going back to older lands and re-visiting them as they are stronger. Love the addition to Adamant Island.
    - Playing as Cecil, Cid, and Rosa gave me such a happy tingling feeling inside.

    Kain's Story
    - This entire story was one giant orgasm for me.
    - What an amazing story idea ... have Mirror Kain from inside Mt. Ordeals defeat him and escape, confusing the hell out of everyone and leading up to the epic battle in Baron castle between Kain? and Kain.
    - What was up with the "My sons" bit? Does that mean Kain and Cecil are brothers? Slight "Cain and Able" reference there throughout the first game and the overall bits of the sequel thus far?
    - Loved how evil Kain? was. Laughing maniacally as he pulls Rosa through the castle, hell-bent on making her watch him slaughter Cecil.
    - Kain is now a Holy Dragoon. Holy fuck me sticks.

So far this game is total fan wank ... and I love it, because I'm a total fan.

WHAT CHAPTER SHOULD I DO NEXT? I downloaded them all ... Rydia, Yang, Palom, Porom, Edge, Edward, and Lunarians. I've seen a lot of Rydia and Yang's story, and some cool battles from the Lunarians ... any specific thoughts and recommendations for those who have played some of the others?

    LET ME KNOW KTHX.

I'm a little confused. When I downloaded the game, I only saw one. Are there multiple games or are they unlocked as I beat them. I'm still in the castle battle where you control Cecil. I was going to play it last night but my chica wanted to see Batman.

i played them all in order, until the latest set, and i had to jump ahead to the lunarians chapter. i have yet to play porom and edward's chapters. it really doesn't matter what order you play the chapters in because they all happen at relatively the same time. you know that part in ff6 where it splits off into 3 scenarios and then everyone meets up later? it's like that, only on a much bigger scale. just remember to use a separate save file for each quest so you can import your character data into the final chapter, that's why the game has no many save slots.

Hey Kick, a little off topic, but I saw your Top Boss fights list. Do you have access to, or have you played Crisis Core?

so far all I've done is the first 'main' chapter, Yang's, and part of Rydia's (cuz I'm still farming for Summon drops >_<) then again, it's not like I need an excuse to spend extra time with Rydia....

I've started Rydia's story. Tough when your crew is a nerfed summoner, two dolls, and a dwarf wanna-be Cid.

    Dear Square-Enix:

Fuck you for the Demon Wall in Rydia's story.

    Thanks.

Reeling this baby back in. Ok, I played some last night, but obviously not as far as Kick. Loving what I'm seeing so far, and it's crazy how a touch of music here, and a dash of old-school graphics there can REALLY take you back.

Finished Rydia's Story last night (grinding in the Agamart Mine, or whatever, is easy, 1000xp-1600xp a battle, you level about once every 5 to 8 battles). Got all the Mythril parts to repair Calca and Brina. But when I select my finished game (has a little crystal that says "finished"), I still can't get Calca and Brina to join me for the Challenge Dungeon, it's just Rydia and Luca.

    :(

Tried the Challenge Dungeon with Kain/Ceodore/Rosa/Cid. Yeouch.

    Just finished Yang's story.

Dunno if it was that short, or if it was because you play as 5 monks. Either way, it took less than 2 hours to finish for me.

I have my kiddo this weekend, so it's Little Big Planet and Mario Kart all weekend, I'll probably put some time in tomorrow evening. I'm getting the final Fantasy itch again. I'll probably pick up Dissidia today.

Some of the bosses you battle in the final chapters:

    - The Four Fiends from the original Final Fantasy
    - Gilgamesh from Final Fantasy V
    - Ultros and the Phantom Train from Final Fantasy VI
    - Doomgaze and Ultima Weapon from Final Fantasy VI
    - All the bosses from the final dungeon in Final Fantasy II(j)

    Wow!

Finished Palom's story last night. That one was literally only a couple of hours. I think I finished it at a play-time of 2:14. And a good hour of that was grinding.

    Started Porom's story...

The flashback stuff with Palom and Porom is cool but shit is it hard. Have to fight Octomammoth with just the twins, and you have no items and shit unless you buy them.

    Yargh.
