Expensive, but I think we've yet to really see what it's going to actually cost for the full experience of the PS3's move, so I'm not sure if I'd call it totally overpriced just yet.

Except both Move controllers and the Eyetoy cost about the same all together. You also need additional sets of controllers for multiple players making it more expensive the more players you want to include. Making uninformed fan-boy statements like that doesn't
    A) help the discussion.
    B) make you look intellegent.

    How do you figure that?

Let's compare the full experiences of both for pricing. Based on the videos from E3 it looks like the move will use a combination of a motion controller and navigation controller, or 2 motion controllers. Judging from the bundles as well, you will also be using the PS3 Eye camera. So, to get the full experience you will need:

    2 x move motion controllers @ 50$
    1 x move navigation controller @ 30$
    1 x eye camera @ 40$

So, the total for that is 170$ to get the full features of the technology, as opposed to the 150$ kinect which apparently gives you everything in one shot.

I'm sure that there's some piece of the puzzle I'm missing here, but I'm honestly confused. Who is supposed to be the market for these $150+ add-ons to the 360 and PS3? Who's going to want to pay that much on top of the more expensive starting price of either system, just so they can have systems that kinda work like the Wii?

I understand that it's much more complicated than that for Move or Kinect, but I don't know who wants movement controls badly enough to nearly pay the cost of a Wii.

I'm guessing that since Nintendo can sell peripherals easily, why can't they. Plus they want a chunk on that casual market Nintendo has a big hold on

I like the idea of Kinect, but not enough to plop down the money for it regardless of the price. My guess too is Microsoft & Sony are trying to get some of the market share of the casual gamer market.

Also, other things you should not do with your XBOX 360:
    - Use it as a heating pad to sit on while taking a bath
    - Wrapping it with duct tape to prevent dust from getting into the air vents
    - Use it as a dog blanket
    - Using it as a pretend building while you play "Godzilla destroys the city"

    etc...

Ive had my Wii fall to the floor with the disc spinning and nothing bad happened. MS should really just use better drives.

Did you actually click the link, or just read the link title? Because that's sort of the point. The link goes to the actual post (#142 by Omega Supreme-1) in this thread, not just the thread itself.

This topic was discussed just over a week ago in this exact thread. Why do we need to have this exact same 'revelation' posted again?

I'm not trying to rag on Keroshino (hence the smiley faces and jokes), but as I said, this was already talked about pretty much the day this article came out, so we don't really need to re-link to it right?.

Wii drives are different since you slot the disc in, 360 drives are loaded via tray.
So there is bound to be some movement of the disc.
