I doubt I'll get it. I can wait to watch TV for the few hours it would take for me to get to point A to point B. I'm perfectly happy using my DS to play games on.
(I also don't miss the ability to have a wallpaper on it, or watch movies on a tiny screen. Hence why i don't own a PSP)

Web browsing on a DS... sounds like it could be a fun novelty for awhile.

But... it'll be wifi, and therefore, you'll need to be near a Wifi signal, which is almost always near a computer... BAH... brain hurts.

Cool option for guys who wants it, but I won't get it. As far as internet, I mostly come here, and few other some other sites. No offense to anyone here, but I think I can go a few hours, or even a few days without you guys. I don't need it on my DS.

Pictochat's already proven it can work. It's small, but easy enough to work with a stylus. Hell of a lot better than trying to type with a D-pad.

The Web browser intrigues me. My school has Wi-Fi, so this would be ideal to futz around with during breaks.

Gee...the Game Gear done right. Well...maybe. We'll see. It had a TV tuner, and it didn't really take off. I doubt this tuner will either. Also, if no one takes on the "one-seg" capabilities...according to the (I believe) second article...no one outside of Japan will be able to use it.

When looking around, I haven't seen mention on any site of anywhere outside of Japan taking on One-Seg broadcasting. But I will say this, the idea of One-Seg is kinda interesting. A broadcasting system purely for portable devices, so if the DS Tuner doesn't take off, the signal can still be pulled by other devices.

I'm not entirely sure consumers are ready or really interested in such a service. CNN has another article on it here:
    http://www.cnn.com/2006/TECH/fun.games/02/16/nintendo.ds.features.reut/index.html

Nothing really new, but does make mention that Nintendo is contemplating the Tuner outside Japan.

Well if you can't wait for the TV tuner there is the old GBA one but it's pretty bulky. I'm more interested in the browser myself, I just thought I'd mention the Tuner since it's in the same article. I have a Play Yan and a GBAMP if I want video. The local TV channels all suck anyway. Mabey something like that would come in handy next hurricane season though. Nintendogs helped me keep my sanity after Katrina.
