After watching the latest episode, I wished that MECH used more rocket launchers seeing bullets (or were they lasers) kinda bounce off Cybertronian bodies.

But that's not the topic of this thread.

I've previously made a thread discussing if MECH would put their resources into making an elite squad of superhumans.

Now with this Project Chimera most are thinking "Oh some constructed Transformer." But I feel that's still not particularly new to me. It would still be more bots vs bots.

So what I would be interested in are "1 on 1" to "3 on 3" Bots/Cons vs Humans.

Do you think the writers have that in mind? Because I've never seen a (super)human pummel a Cybertronian before nor have a Cybertronian beatdown on a human only to have it beat back.

I feel it's blatantly obvious that Project Chimera will be MECH piloted suits to fight one on one against a Cybertronian. I suspect they will be transformable (probably into cars) as well.

That good but remember what I said about super serums and biotech?

Yeah no need for a suit if one's own muscles can shred steel.

I doubt we'll see super humans in Prime.

Transformers Animated. Meltdown almost offlined Bulkhead in one episode, if I remember correctly. He also grabbed Optimus Prime and damaged him.

No mention of possible Mech Headmasters?

Mech's power is whatever the plot needs.

Need them to capture a Transformer? Give them a gun which fires things that latch and short circuit their systems.

Need them to be cannon fodder against two giant robots to make it a very badass scene? Give them only guns and a laser that takes a heck of a lot of time to charge.

Is it just me, or does it feel like Mech may be Prime's origin for the Dinobots? They did nab a ground-based 'Con, so no Decepticon flying tech.

Interesting thought, but it brings up a number of other questions, such as:

Why would Mech make Dinosaur-themed robots, when it would be a lot more advantageous and inconspicuous for them to build robots that can be disguised as normal vehicles? Why a bunch of Dinos?

Unless the writers could come up with a really damned good reason for that (I can't think of anything really, but I concede that I'm no writer), I can only see it as rather tacky if the Dinobots were built by Mech; I can't see it working all that well with the tone and style of TF: Prime (something like that could have worked fine in a show like Animated).

But maybe the writers could surprise me.

I don't feel like it'd be a good origin for the Dinobots, so much as Grimlock..who I feel like (as long as he's recognizably the same character) could work as just a tank or something.

I think it'd be better for this to be the origin of Prime's Scorponok. Big weapons platform with Silas as the Zarak component.

I never said it'd be a good idea, just that I get a feeling that may be the way they go. & I could easily see Mech's thought process:

Robots = strong; Dinosaurs might = robot strength, so robot Dinos > Robots

I also threw out Mech Headmasters a few posts back...
